Bunko!!!!

 

Tonight I played Bunko with my group, we had a great time (as usually) and I left being a winner for having the last Bunko :)

Pillows!!!

 

A friend of mine found out I made personalized pillows and wanted to get one for her daughter, then decided to get them for all 3 of her daughters, then decided to get them for her 3 nieces, then decided to get them for 3 birthday gifts, then her friend emailed and wanted me to make them for her 3 kids!! I finished the last of the first friends today, got 3 more to go once I find out what she wants on them.

Swirlz Art Studio

I have been wanting to go to an art class since I first heard of Sips & Strokes in Nashville but haven't made the time to go. A place called Swirlz opened up here in Clarksville and I thought it would be a lot easier to attend with it being local and me not having to be far from my breastfed baby for too long... but still haven't had a chance to get there until tonight!! Tiffani, Joy, and I had a great time and I promise it is easier than it looks, they tell you what to do step by step. It was a ton of fun and I can't wait to do it again!!

Ethan and Cabinets

Ethan has discovered the fun to be had inside the kitchen cabinets... his favorite is where the storage containers are kept, he loves to pull out the bin and unload the lids, it keeps him busy for a while! :)

Upstairs is Done!!!

Doing the upstairs was a lot harder than I thought it would be... I knew the general layout in my head but getting it to work with the walls from downstairs took some thinking!! Now Jeremy needs to tell me what he wants in the basement (his level) so I can get it done and off to the architect!

Winter Wonderland

Woke up to a beautiful snowfall! Seems like we have had a lot more snow this year than in years past. The kids love it!

Technology

Technology amazes me, this is a picture of the tv screen when Andrew & Matthew were playing Mario Kart with their cousins that live 2.5 hours away. It's so neat that they can play together whenever they want!

Elvis!

My kids make me laugh all the time, Jeremy and I were in the office going over the floor plan when Elvis walked in the room. I guess Matthew decided it was a good time to rummage through the dress-up box on his way to bed tonight... Ethan got a kick out of it too!

House Plans

Everyone keeps asking if we have started building our next house yet and the answer is NO because I am drawing the plans myself and have had a hard time finding the time to work on it. Housework and sewing orders have been keeping me too busy to sit down and DO IT! I started working on them in November then put it away until today. I got the downstairs done and hope to get the upstairs and basement done this week!! I'm hoping to break ground by March. :)

Best Friends

 

Wouldn't it be nice to have a live-in best friend?? Andrew & Matthew have such a special relationship, they usually get along great and always look after each other. They like to watch each other play games on their Nintendo DSs. I snapped this picture while they were sitting in the chair together playing today.

Sledding

The kids had a blast playing in the snow today, we even got Ethan out there and going down the driveway on a sled!

Time to lower the crib!

We lowered Ethan's crib tonight... can you believe we were able to keep it on the highest level until now???

Flat Stanley

Matthew's class did the Flat Stanley project and sent their Flat Stanley's to friends out of state. Matthew sent his to his friend, Cliffy Syner, in Hawaii. Friends were asked to take pictures of him during his visit... the Syner's went all out and gave him a tour of Hawaii and made this cute photo album about his trip. Matthew's teacher was impressed!

Another Milestone!

Things seem to be clicking with Ethan this week!! He has been pulling up on stuff like crazy and tonight he FINALLY got himself in a seated position by himself!! I hope all these new found skills don't lead to him walking soon, I'm not ready for that!!!

First Diaper!

I started using cloth diapers with Ethan a couple of months ago and after looking at them, I decided I would start making them. This was my first attempt!! It should work, but I have a lot of tweaking to do!!

Disciple Now

Caleb didn't make the trip to Memphis with us because he didn't want to miss Disciple Now. We took this picture when we picked him up at his best friend's (Josey) house. He had an amazing weekend and was exhausted!!

My Cousins

This picture was taken at the reception following my grandfather's funeral. It's been a long time since all of us were together at one time.

Aunt Sally's kiss

This is my "little brother," Rob, making a sheepish face because my Aunt Sally just planted a kiss on his cheek.  She has been leaving lipstick marks on him since he was a little boy. It's a tradition!

 

We went to Caleb's basketball game tonight and when I got my camera out to take a picture for the blog Andrew and Matthew decided to play photographer. One had my phone and the other had the camera, they were running all around the court snapping away. Most came out really blurry, this one "won" best photo. Matthew took it, so I guess he wins! Caleb is on the silver team (the Spartans), he's on the far right... they won 20-12!

I left Ethan to play in his room after his bath, when I came back to check on him, I found him like this!!! He was so proud and so SCARED!!! I don't think he knew how to get down!! Mom to the rescue! :)

100 Icicles

 

The down-spout on the front corner of the house dripped into this tree all day long and made LOTS of Icicles!!

Character Kid Breakfast

 

Another proud day as a parent... Matthew was chosen as the "Character Kid" for the month of December by his classmates.

Shogun with the Girls

 

Girls Night Out and I hate to admit, but I forgot my camera!!! I had planned on using a picture from dinner as my daily post all day long and it was too dark to use my phone, so I found this picture on their site to use... I know, I know, I cheated! Anyhoo, the girls at dinner were: Nicole Harwell, Melissa Jones, Summer Torrence, Amanda Ray, Courtney Brooks, Wendi Lewis, and Ashley Martin. Good Time!! :)

Soft-Boiled Eggs

When I was a kid, my mom fixed us soft-boiled eggs and served them in little cups with little spoons. (It is a very popular way to eat eggs in Europe) Anyhoo, I had been wanting to get some cups so my kids could have some too but they are very hard to find here in the states. While shopping yesterday, I found them at Ross's (first time to that store) and they were only $3.99!! Oh yeah, the kids loved them. :)

Milkshake Anyone?

 

While celebrating Christmas with Jeremy's parents and sister's family, we decided to go to Steak and Shake for milkshakes... why not take a picture?? Everyone enjoyed their shakes and I enjoyed some chili cheese fries since I can't have milkshakes (too much dairy.. makes me sick).

Sick Baby Boy

 

Ethan started feeling puny during our New Years Eve Party and had a fever for a couple of days with a cough and runny nose. Here he is cuddling with his daddy while we played cards with the family.
