Fight over Ethan

As soon as Andrew & Matthew came in the door from school today (notice they still have their backpacks on), they both wanted to hold Ethan and ended up basically playing tug of war with the poor kid. Ethan was loving it and thought it was great! They posed for the camera in the middle of the struggle so I could take my picture for the day. :)

Caleb's on facebook!

Several of Caleb's friends have facebook pages, so I FINALLY gave in and let him have an account a few weeks ago, now if we ever wonder where he is, we check the computer! He's enjoying playing games and chatting with his friends. He's growing up way too fast!!!

Rub a Dub Dub, 3 boys in the tub!

Anytime the twins see that Ethan is headed to the bath, they BEG to take a bath with him! Tonight I let them both join in the fun!! Ethan loved it and the floor got a good cleaning from all the water that splashed out.

Ethan and Loni

It's been a while since Laura and I have gotten a picture of Ethan and Loni together... boy have they grown!!! I had forgotten how hard it is to get 2 babies to look at the camera at the same time!! 

Today is Loni's birthday... HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY, LONI!!!

Pajama Day!

Andrew & Matthew had Pajama Day at school today. I tried to talk them out of wearing their footed PJs, that they were a little old to be wearing them, but they insisted. When they got home, I asked them if anyone else had them on and they said "nope, we didn't care."

Bible Study

I started a women's bible study with some girls from church, we meet every Wednesday MORNING

and we are doing the study- "A Woman's Heart- God's Dwelling Place." Everyone knows that I'm not a morning person, but I am really enjoying being in the Word and doing a more in-depth study. Maybe we can do it at NIGHT for the next book!

Save, Save, Save!!

Melissa got a 30% off Kohl's coupon in the mail and we went shopping together tonight so I could borrow it. I love how they put how much you save on the bottom!! I used a merchandise credit card, that I've had for a while, that split my bill in half as well!! Woot Woot!!

And this is what Jeremy gave the twins to eat this morning!!! A donut with sprinkles and a Pop-tart! Also, notice Matthew's plate, they were both really into Dora when they were 3... the plates are still around. :)

Ethan's girlfriend- Ashlyn

Since the guys don't have to work tomorrow (President's Day), the Jones' came over to play cards. This is their little girl named Ashlyn who is 4 months old. As soon as we found out Melissa was having a girl, we "arranged" their marriage. Ethan is absolutely crazy about her and she seems pretty fond of him too. Just wait... this picture will be displayed at their wedding. :)

Paci Thief!

 

Tonight we had some friends (Nick & Meredith Hale) from college over and this is their youngest, Logan. He and Ethan had a great time playing together and Logan didn't seem to mind when Ethan wanted to borrow his paci!!

Hand & Foot

 

Every Friday night that we can get together, Brian and Melissa Jones come over to play games. Tonight, like most nights lately, we played Hand and Foot. It would take some work to explain how to play on here so just know that it is tons of fun!!!

1 Year Pictures

Today I took Ethan for his 1 year pictures with Christie Wall. I was worried that it wasn't going to go well, because every time I try to take his picture, lately, he darts for the camera. He surprised me and it turned out to be his best shoot yet! I think she got a lot of really good pictures!!

Naked Butt!!

 

You gotta love naked butt pictures!! Now that Ethan is pulling up, I find him standing at the tub several times a day because he LOVES baths!

Ethan is 1!!!!

Yep, it's another picture of him eating cake! It is so hard to believe it has been a year since this little guy came into our lives, he has been such a blessing and I can't imagine life without him. He is so much fun and makes me laugh everyday.

Valentine's Day

We don't celebrate "Hallmark Hoildays," but Jeremy surprised me by doing a few things for me today. When I woke up, he had written me a little love note, brought me MCDONALDS for lunch (since it's my favorite), and then brought me these cupcakes home when he came in from work! I think he was just trying to butter me up because he is at the FLC playing basketball with the guys now!! I guess I'm not the only wife stuck at home without their valentine... unless he is up there playing with single guys!

Left, Right, Center

Everyone knows our family likes to play games, tonight we played "Left, Right, Center" with the kids. To play, everyone starts out with 5 green chips and on your turn you roll the dice (all 3 if you have 3 or more chips, 2 if you have 2, and 1 if you have 1), then you have to pass the chips according to what you roll, either to the person on your left or right or in the center pot. You can also roll black dots which means you get to keep it. Whoever is the last person with a chip WINS. It's a lot of fun and you can constantly be in and out of the game. We like to play while we eat dinner or as a quick game before bed like tonight.

Ethan's Party

We celebrated Ethan's birthday today here at the house with grandparents and a few close friends. He had a great time and loved the cake!

Goodbye Tater!!

Caleb got Tater for his birthday 2 years ago and since I made him take care of him by cleaning his cage, he decided he didn't want him anymore and gave him to the twins. The twins had him in their room for a while (and I took care of him) and then decided they didn't want him anymore either, so he was moved to the guest bedroom. Poor thing wasn't loved on and played with anymore and I was the one who continued to take care of him. A friend posted on facebook last night that she was thinking about getting her daughter a hamster, so I decided it would be a great way to get rid of him... it's not everyday you find out someone wants one! They picked him up this afternoon!! I think I will miss him the most, but I sure won't miss cleaning out his cage!!

Frozen Bubble

The Music Minister from church posted on facebook that it is so cold outside that bubbles will freeze, so I had to try it. I KNOW we have bubbles around here somewhere, but I decided to use soapy water and scissor handles instead of looking for some.  His are sitting on top of the snow, but I couldn't get one to not pop for the picture and I finally gave up because my hands are close to being frostbit!! It's 1 degree now, you'd think it would work better than when he did his during the day. Anyhoo, here's a picture of what I used and a frozen bubble carcass. :) It was pretty neat to see them crystallize in the air.  Thanks for the idea, Bro Lyndel!

Newspaper picture

I finally got a decent picture of Ethan for the newspaper!! It's not the best and he's wearing pajamas, but I want to make sure I meet their deadline!!  I had to sit him on his riding toy to keep him still!!! Notice the scratch and bruise on his forehead??? They are from all the pulling up he has been doing around here!

On another note, today is my sister's 35th birthday!! I've been counting down the hours for her the last couple of days because she is now closer to 40 than 30! haha!! I know, my day is coming, I'm only 19 months younger than her :/

More Snow!!

I still cannot believe the amount of snow we have gotten this year!!! Here's a picture of the twins playing in the snow that we got yesterday... and we have more to come tomorrow!!

Belly Mopping

Ethan started, what I call belly-mopping, back in November. Our house is all hardwood and he just glides around like a little frog where ever he wants to go. He started crawling on his hands and knees last week, but still belly mops if he is in a hurry. I've been trying to get a good picture of him for the newspaper for his 1st birthday, but every time I get the camera out he darts toward me and wants the camera. I snapped this picture of him so I can remember his cute little frog legs. I'm really going to miss this stage!!!

Super Bowl XLV

 

We had our Sunday School class over to watch the game tonight, well, the guys watched downstairs while the girls yapped upstairs. I failed as a photographer and never got my camera out!! I stole this picture from online... I love that the media snapped a picture of him giving glory to God. :)

Living Room or Day Care?? You decide

So, we've had the exersaucer and jumper for a while, Ethan got the little house for Christmas and Jeremy put the Swing and Slide thing together this morning for his birthday. We've decided to keep it in the house until it warms up outside...it looks like I run an in-home daycare!

Michael Jackson... the experience

We went to our friends, Chad & Raeann, house for dinner and games. This is Raeann and me playing Michael Jackson: The Experience... it was quite the experience!! It's like Just Dance, but MUCH harder!!! It was tons of fun and a GOOD workout. :)

So much for organizing!

I've decided to start selling cloth diapers and got my first shipment in today. I unwrapped each diaper as I took them out of the package and organized them in piles on the floor. Ethan thought it would be fun to help and got right in the middle of them and made quite the mess while I left the room to throw away the packing materials!!

Hoops Celebration

Tonight was the end of the year celebration for Hilldale Hoops, the gym was packed with over 1500 people!!! The kids had a great time!

Bubble Gown

 Today I made a friend who is having a baby this Bubble Gown! It's not the cutest fabric, but it was the only thing I had enough fabric of to get it done without going to the store. I think it turned out great! I hope she likes it!
