Twins Cake

The twins are really into baseball this year and decided they wanted to have a baseball birthday party. My mom, who has been making cakes for 35+ years, helped me decorate their cake tonight (okay, okay... she did most of it!) Caleb supplied the little men- they came from his VAST lego collection! 

Gotta share the cake she made for my wedding... I picked it out when I was 12!!

Jealous little boy!

My mom and brother came up this weekend for the twins birthday party. Andrew has always been a "grandma's boy" and was sitting in her lap cuddling. Ethan got jealous and insisted she pick him up too! 

Storm Damage at my inlaws!!!

This picture was taken yesterday, but I wanted to post about Andrew & Matthew's birthday, so I saved it for today. Their house was not harmed other than a tree going through the screen on the screened-in porch, but their patio furniture was out in the yard, they had lots of trees down, the flag pole was bent at the bottom and laid parallel to the ground and the swing set was destroyed. To top it off, they both have the stomach bug that they caught from us!

Happy 8th Birthday, Andrew & Matthew!!!

The twins have had a SUGAR HIGH today!! We got them donuts for breakfast, then I took cupcakes to their school, then I took them for milkshakes, then we had a ice cream cake at home tonight!! Their teachers were great about letting them celebrate together at school... Andrew's class came over to Matthews room. I can't believe my tiny little babies are 8 already!!!

Bad Storms!!

We started having pretty bad storms last night and the kids were out of school today because so many people/schools were without power. Today turned out to be very pretty, but more storms were headed our way tonight. Here's a picture of the radar on tv tonight... it's a slow moving storm, so we are expecting some flooding!!

Mckinley Kate Enquist

We had Bunko tonight and my friend, Laura, brought her 1 month old daughter, Mckinley, with her... isn't she sweet?!?

He is Risen!!

We celebrate Easter at Jeremy's parents every year. They make it such a fun day!! Here's a picture of Fred and Janet with all their grandbabies.

Great Cloth Diaper Change

Melissa & Ashlyn and Ethan & I participated in the "Great Cloth Diaper Change" this morning. Locations were set up all over the world to set a Guinness Book World Record for the most cloth diapers changed at the same time. We went to the Cloth Diaper store on Riverside. After signing in and getting our numbers, we found our little assigned squares on the floor. When it got close to the change, we all had to go outside and come into the store in order of our numbers. Only participants, media, and witnesses were allowed in the building during the change. We had to hold our babies up to take a before diaper picture and then after with the new diaper on to show proof that they were changed. It was a neat experience... maybe our names will be in the Record Books!

Dying Easter Eggs

Dying Easter eggs is one of my favorite Easter traditions because it is something I remember doing every year during my childhood. The boys always look forward to it and I like making deviled eggs with their colorful creations. Ethan "helped me" do the shrink-wrapped eggs you can see in the carton and supervised the big kids from his highchair. Maybe, I'll trust him to be around the dye next year. :)

Jeremy the Angel

For the past several years, Jeremy has played the part of the Angel during the Passion Play at church. Fred & Janet, Jeremy's parents, came up to see the twins play baseball and to see the Passion Play tonight. On another note, today is Matthew's turn to be sick!! He first threw up during his baseball game... poor kid!

VERY sick day!!

The nasty stomach bug that has been going around decided to visit our house today!!! Everyone but Matthew had it coming out both ends! I've never cleaned up some much poop and puke in my life! I took a picture of Andrew's vomit trail from the living room to the bathroom to share with you, but decided I would be nice and just take a picture of Andrew with his BFF for the day.

Faux Hawks!

Matthew has been really into spiking his hair up different ways lately... tonight he took his bath with Ethan and decided he needed a new style too!

Uno

Absolutely NOTHING on our schedule today so we enjoyed a nice evening spending time as a family at home!! We always play a game during dinner and lately it has been Uno. The boys love it!

Gymboree Box Sale

Two things I love... Gymboree and Sales!!!

Melissa Jones and I had Gymbucks to spend and tonight we were invited to a box sale at the Rivergate Gymboree!! During a "Box Sale" they pull out tons of boxes full of the past season's stuff and mark it down 25% more off AFTER HOURS!! There was only 10-12 other people shopping, we felt special! You wouldn't believe how many boxes there were!!! The store was packed! We were there for a while because the clothes were not organized at all... you had to dig to find the sizes you needed and everything was mixed together. After we got home, Melissa and I figured up our savings... I saved 81% and Melissa saved 85% off the retail price... not bad, huh?? Oh yeah... the picture. Ethan had to go with us because Jeremy had Passion Play practice, he enjoyed pulling clothes out of boxes and playing in empty ones. :)

Bedridden Nicole!!

Nicole, who is 30 weeks pregnant with twins, was put on bedrest this past week. We went over to hang out and have dinner together. I brought the table and chairs from home, so Nicole could stay on the couch!! Can't wait to meet the babies!!!!

Room full of boys!!!

Our new friends, Jake & Melissa Hillier and their 4 kids (Hi Melissa!!), came over to hang out tonight... here's a picture of 3 of my boys and their 3 boys playing together in Ethan's room. :)

Embarassing Yard!!!

Our yard is starting to look like a JUNGLE!!! Jeremy hasn't been able to get the lawn mower to start and hasn't had time to work on it. We don't have ANYTHING on the calendar tonight, so he's going to work on it today!! I think the neighbors are ready to leave nasty notes in our mailbox if it doesn't get bush-hogged soon!!

Pottery Room Pieces

These were ready last Tuesday and I kept forgetting to pick them up!!!! I made the sailboat light switch plate for Ethan's room (not thrilled with how it turned out- I hate that I was rushed!!) and Caleb made the baseball bank to go with the theme of his room in our new house... St Louis Cardinals! I'm looking forward to another date night with one of my boys. :)

Bionic Boy!

I took Ethan to the Cardiologist to check on his heart murmur today. They did lots of different test that Ethan did NOT enjoy. Of course I HAD to take a picture of him covered in electrodes during his EKG, I texted the picture to Jeremy and he asked if they were making him bionic! All of his test came back normal, the doctor said he just has a noisy heart and that he should outgrow it. YAY!

Coupon Envy!!

Tonight, I went to Rafferty's with the Multiples Club and I planned to take a picture of all of us for my daily picture, but a couple girls left before I got around to taking it and I didn't want to take it without them. :( We started talking about couponing (of course!) and my friend, Kim, asked us if we wanted to see her binder because she had it in the car. I couldn't believe the size of the thing!!! It is thick!! We all got a kick out of her asking if we needed different things that she had an abundance of at home like butter and maxipads... the real kicker was when she asked if anyone needed KY Jelly!! Haha! I'm sure the clerk checking her out on that purchase thought she was crazy!

Manzanillos

The Harwell's asked us to go to Manzanillos with them after church today and when we got there we found that several other families from our LIFE group were there too so we all sat together on the porch, it was a beautiful day!

New Trampoline!!!

We got the twins a trampoline for their 4th birthday (money well spent because they jumped on it just about every day!) Then last Christmas Eve (2009), we came home from the Candlelight Service at church and saw that the trampoline had disappeared!! We finally found it about 100 yards away in the tree line behind our neighbors house (must have been some REALLY strong winds because the sucker was HEAVY DUTY!) It was totally mangled and in really rough shape! Jeremy tried to bend the poles back out but they either wouldn't get totally straight or would break as he bent them so we went to Lowe's and rigged it with some PVC pipes! When we sold our house this past September, we decided to leave the trampoline behind because we didn't think we would be able to get it taken apart much less get it put back together so we promised the boys we would get them a new one this Spring. Jeremy and the boys got it put together today while I was at Nicole's shower and started jumping immediately!! Matthew showed off by doing front flips and LANDING ON HIS FEET!! That kid's got talent!!

Nicole's Baby Gifts

My good friend, Nicole, is having twins and her shower is tomorrow. I procrastinated and waited until this week to get some stuff made for her and I finally finished everything tonight. I hope she likes it!

Coupon Binder

Jeremy and I are really getting into couponing lately so I decided to get more organized and put all the coupons in a binder with baseball card pages so we can be more efficient while we are finding DEALS! I got it put together tonight and it didn't take as long as I thought it would. Cutting the coupons to get them to fit was a little tedious, but worth it!

Skeletoes

The 4 big boys all got new shoes this week (would have got some for Ethan too, if they had his size!!) Jeremy and Caleb's are called Skeletoes and each toe has its own little place to go. Andrew & Matthew's came from The Children's Place and have faux toes but were much cheaper and easier for them to get on.

The cutest little catcher!

Here is Matthew playing catcher at their first game... he looks so tiny!!! He does a great job, it's become his favorite position!

Banana Pudding

While we were grocery shopping the other day, Caleb saw a box of Nilla Wafers and asked if we could make some banana pudding! Of course, I said YES- love the stuff!! I let him make it himself, he really enjoyed it and we ALL really enjoyed eating it! YUM!!

Spinning

Jeremy went to Essex on Thursday to buy a vacuum cleaner for his office and found that they had some spin bikes for sale. He called to ask me what I thought about him getting one and I said, sure go ahead! He's decided to ride while we watch our recorded shows at night... tonight was day 1. I'll let ya know how long he keeps it up!

Baseball- Opening Ceremonies

Most of Clarksville was at the ballpark today!! Here is Andrew & Matthew's team after they were called out on the field, Jeremy is one of the coaches.

Thought I would take a picture of some "Extreme Couponing." Jeremy got all of this at Walgreens today and saved 63%. We aren't going crazy and buying stuff for the heck of it, only getting stuff that we will use pretty quickly.
