Brick and Shingle Shopping

Today we rode around a few neighborhoods with the Winns to look at Brick and Shingles options for their house. This is a picture of one of the houses they liked. :)

Camping Again??

We have been camping (AGAIN) this weekend at Seven Points (Percy Priest Lake). Caleb brought his friend, Caleb Thompson along... everyone had a great time. I did a little camper redecorating today... the wallpaper border that was in it when we bought it was faded in areas and was looking pretty bad so I replaced it with what you see in the picture... MUCH BETTER! I never thought I would hang wallpaper while camping... it's not a normal camping activity. :)

The Best Medicine

Today, we went to visit Nana in the Rehab Hospital... she said spending time with the kids was the best medicine! I have to point out my "photo bomber" kid... Andrew never smiles normal!

Sharing Ice Cream

We took the kids to McDonalds for 50 cent ice cream cones... Matthew ate all of his quickly and decided to hang out by Ethan so he could snag some more!

New Wheels

Andrew & Matthew had tiny little power wheel 4-wheelers that they absolutely loved so I HAD to get Ethan one!! I didn't want to wait until Christmas or his birthday since they are so far away, so I used some sewing profits and bought it for him today. He's not the best driver yet, but he'll get there!

Bunko Gals

Our Bunko group started 3 years ago, we've had people come and go and almost always have to have a sub each month. This month, all the regular girls were able to be there so I had to take a picture. We did a serious picture then this funny one... notice that only a few of us are FUNNY!

Caleb loves to build things... sand castles, legos, whatever he can get his hands on! He says he wants to be an architect when he grows up. :)

Inifinity Sports Camp

Andrew & Matthew have spent the week at Infinity Sport Camp, here they are with a couple of their coaches. They had an awesome week!

CT Scan

We took Caleb for a CT Scan in Nashville today. His orthodontist found an extra tooth in the top of his mouth on his last x-ray. He'll be having oral surgery to remove it in a few weeks.

Little Batman

I think Jeremy and I had more fun with what he is wearing than he did. He doesn't even notice the cape!

Who takes 7 kids shopping??

Nicole and I do! We both needed a few things at Walmart tonight, so we braved it together with 7 of our 8 kids. The big kids liked to follow me around more than Nicole (probably because I had Ethan in my cart), I got a lot of "you're crazy" and "better you than me" looks! Ha!

Exhausted Caleb

Caleb, Jeremy and Ethan (in the jog stroller) have taken up running the last few weeks. Tonight, Caleb ran the whole way without stopping and even sprinted the last bit to the house... when he came in, he collapsed  on the kitchen floor because he wanted to cool off on the cold tile. They try to run 3-4 days a week and Caleb's time is gradually getting better. So proud of him!

Visiting with Nana

I took the boys to the hospital to see Nana and Granddad today. Here's Ethan taking care of Nana. :)

Terrible Car Accident!

Fred and Janet (Jeremy's parents) were headed on a day trip to KY with their friends, Clint and Kathy. 10 miles after they crossed the state line, a girl did an illegal u-turn on the interstate right in front of them and they hit her going 70 mph. Janet and Kathy were both airlifted and Fred and Clint were taken by ambulance to the hospital. Clint has a bone chipped in his knee and having to re-examine his hand for a possible fracture, Cathy was discharged in a neck brace with a lot of bruises and pain but able to walk out, Fred tore cartilage in his sternum and neck area, he was able to be discharged but is in a lot of pain and will be sore for weeks, Janet has a shattered hip and was transported to Centennial Hospital so she can have surgery on Tuesday. The girls in the other car walked away! God had his hand of protection on this car... the outcome could have been much worse. :(

Sleepover!

Addi and Paxton (Harwell) are spending the night tonight, so of course, I had to get a picture of them. Not sure if you can tell, but Matthew is crying, he got whacked while the kids were piling on the couch. I tried to get him to stop so I could take the picture, but he refused to turn his frown upside down.

Craving turns into an addiction!!

I craved lemon flavored stuff while I was pregnant with Ethan. I drank lots of lemonade and ate lots of lemon cookies. The cookie craving continues... they have become a staple in our house and I eat them every night before bed!!

Family Game

Everyone knows that Jeremy and I like to play games... the rest of the family does too! We have played games all weekend, so much fun!!

Birthday Girl and Boy!

Jeremy's grandfather brought his pontoon down for us to use so we went out on the lake to eat birthday cake! Jillian is 4 and Fred says he's 61, but he turned 61 a couple of years ago :)  My SIL, Wendy, made the cake... isn't it cute?!?!

Center Hill Camping Trip

We decided to go camping close to Jeremy's sister (she lives in Cookeville) so we could celebrate Jeremy's dads and our neice's birthdays with them. Here's our home away from home this trip. :)

Fresh Produce!

Ethan hasn't been weighed since his 2 week followup after his 12 month well visit, so we decided to weigh him while we were doing our grocery shopping. The scale says he is up 4 lbs... I wonder how much of that is his clothes and shoes. : /

Ethan's new trick!

We have bar stool height chairs at our kitchen table, so I was thinking Ethan wouldn't be able to climb on the table to swing from the chandelier for a while... I was wrong! He's figured out that if he stands in the window sill, he can climb up on the back bench and then get on the table. He insisted on being up there today, so I gave him some cards so he would at least sit on the bench on his bottom.

Happy Birthday to my nephew, Warren... he turned 16 today!!

Creative Bowling

Melissa and I decided to take the kids bowling today (Kids Bowl Free) and our husbands tagged along because Brian ended up being off work and Jeremy came during his lunch break. My kids obviously didn't get enough play time there because they came home and built this alley in the backyard... complete with ball return! So creative!

Happy 4th of July!!

We went to the Country Club today to celebrate the 4th. The party started at the pool with a giant inflatable water slide and ended with a huge bar-be-que and fireworks. Here's a picture of all the kids waiting for the fireworks show to start. We've decided to make it an annual tradition- it was lots of fun!

Baby Cornhole

The Harwells came over to hang out tonight and the Jeremy's had to hold babies while we played cornhole... Nicole and I were hoping it would throw off their game.

Surprise Visitors!

This is my Aunt Diane and my Uncle Wayne with the grandson, Dominic. They drove to Minnesota to get him so he could spend the summer with them in Memphis... they stopped by to see us on their way home. :)
