Happy Halloween!!!

I took a picture of the boys on our way out the door to the Fall Festival at church. I knew it would be the only time I would have the 4 of them in 1 place! I love owls so I got an owl costume for Ethan. Elvis and Thing 1 both decided (on their own!) that they wanted to wear stuff that we already had and Caleb, Jeremy, and I wore "I <3 VBS/NY" shirts because the theme of the festival was New York City. We all had a great time at the Festival... sure wish it lasted longer than 2 hours!  

He got one!!!

Caleb shot his first deer today! It's a 5 point buck that he hit right in the "sweet spot." He helped Jeremy gut it, then they took it to a processor. I'll have a freezer full of deer meat soon (sure wish I liked the stuff!) He saved the antlers and Jeremy is going to mount them for him. He is soooo excited! 

Juvenile Hunt

This weekend is the states "Juvenile Hunt," so Jeremy took Caleb hunting both this morning and afternoon. He shot and missed a deer, but is going back tomorrow to try again. :)

Fall Fling!

Tonight, we took the kids to the twins school for the "Fall Fling." There were blow-ups, a dunking booth, cake-walk, lots of carnival games, etc for them to do. We walked past this cheesy backdrop for pictures, so I made them boys let me take their picture in front of it! Ha!! 

Pinata

Caleb is studying about Mexico at school and they are celebrating the holiday Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at school tomorrow. He is taking this Pinata full of candy for his class. :)

Sink Bath!

My mom sent me this cute picture of Ethan taking a bath in the sink today... I had to post it, I miss my baby!! 

Another Fun Game!

The Boys and I played LIFE tonight while Jeremy was at church drafting his basketball teams. With all the tiny pieces, there's no way we could play this if Ethan were home. But, I sure do miss the little guy. :(

Jeremy's Salon

I'm not allowed to shower until I go back for my first follow-up appointment, so Jeremy has to wash my hair. He did a pretty good job with the washing... blow drying, not so much! I had an afro! 

Twin Girls??

We found this huge sign up in front of the house when we got home from my surgery. My friend, Jessie, wanted to help me celebrate the big day... I'm sure all my neighbors think I am pregnant with twin girls! lol

Working Boys!

Jeremy had a few things that needed to be done at the Winns house today so he took the boys along and put them to work! That's what I call a "family business." :)

Andrew aka Andrea

My friend, Amanda Ray, has started making bows so I told her I would put them on my business page to help her sell them. She brought over a few so I could get pictures of them and Andrew decided he would try them on. She also brought me some homemade soup... I love my friends!

BIG day!!

I debated on whether or not I would post about my surgery because it is not something you want EVERYONE to know, but I decided it was a pretty major event in my life and I ought to blog about it. Today, I had breast augmentation surgery. It's something I have been planning on doing once I was done having and breastfeeding children. I didn't want to go too big where it was obvious I had it done, just wanted to get my pre-kid boobs back! The surgery went pretty good (they had to leave a drainage tube in me which isn't normal because I was bleeding pretty bad) and I'm happy with the results so far. It's a little more painful than I was expecting, but the pain meds are helping. :)

Gone to Grandmas!

 

I drove Ethan to Jackson today to meet my mom so he could go stay with her. I had planned on taking a picture of him going off, but I, of course, was a crying mess and forgot to do it. I had my mom send me a picture after they got there. My mom collects pigs so she thought a picture of Ethan with her biggest one would show that he was at her "house."

Cabinet Shopping!!

Today, I met Raeann at the cabinet shop to pick out cabinets. Picking out the stuff that goes in the house is the fun part! She seemed a little overwhelmed with all the choices at first, then zeroed in on what she liked and picked some out for a few rooms. :)

Amazing Labyrinth

We left all of our board games packed up when we moved into this rental house because we didn't have a place to store them. The kids asked if we could get some out to play... this game is so fun!! I bought it when I sold Discovery Toys when the kids were too young to play, so this is the first time they have been able to play it and they love it! The pieces on the game board slide around and you have to make it to where you can get to each icon in the stack of cards you are dealt (in order).

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!

I am so proud of Matthew!!! RA's from all over the state go to Camp-o-ree... they are divided into 2 age groups: Lads- 1st-3rd grade and Crusaders- 4th-6th grade for the events. Matthew won 2 first place medals. The first was a team (pictured above) event which was a "Survival Course" and the 2nd was an individual medal for Bible Drill. I can't believe he won over all the 1st-3rd graders that were there :)

Amish Country

Melissa, Courtney, and I (and Ethan and Anderson) ventured up to Amish Country today to shop in a couple of their stores (Pantry & Bakery). I came home with some butter, cheese, apple butter, marshmallows, sour dough bread and cinnamon rolls. Everything taste so good!! I have a feeling we will be going again soon! The picture is of Anderson and Ethan chillin' on a Amish-made porch swing. They were eating a yummy oatmeal pie!

Camp-O-Ree

Jeremy and the big boys have gone to the RA Camp-o-ree. It's something they look forward to each year. I made this sign for them a few years ago... I'm surprised it has held up!!

Favorite Book

This is Ethan's absolute favorite book! I found him in his room reading on his own... he used a kid sized chair to climb into the big chair, isn't he smart!! Notice the beads?? Caleb put them on him a few days ago and he has insisted on wearing them constantly ever since (unless he is asleep). Too funny!

Panama City!

Caleb went to Panama City with the youth group at church for Fall Break... here he is with some of his friends. :)

Scattered Family= Sewing time!

Caleb is in Florida, the twins are in Mt Juliet, and Jeremy is gone hunting... Ethan and I camped out in my sewing room and got caught up on a bunch of orders. I usually don't sew during the day because he tears the room apart while I work, but it was nice to put so many hours in today. :) This is a burp cloth I made for a shower gift for a friend... the nursery is in Dr Suess so she wanted something that would match. :)

Punch Bug!

Andrew and Matthew are down staying with their Nana and Granddad for a couple of days since it is Fall Break. Here they are in the back of Nana's Volkswagen Bug headed to the movies.

Goodbye Vera!

I have been using Vera Bradley purses/bags for around 8 years. I put a bunch on eBay last year and decided to clean out some more today.

Birthday Girl!

 

The twins, Ethan, and I went to the Jones' house to celebrate Ashlyn's first birthday today. Here she is in the "birthday outfit" I made her. :)

Bullseye!

Jeremy and Caleb went to Illinois for their juvenile hunt going on this weekend. Jeremy sent this picture to show me what a "sharp shooter" Caleb is! 

Puzzles with Mamaw

My mom brought my Mamaw and Aunt Diane with her for the twins baptism. I love that my kids are able to have relationships with their great-grandparents. :)

Special Night!!

Jeremy's grandfather, who is a baptist preacher, came to baptize the twins tonight. He made the service so special, it is a night I will always remember. I will also always remember Andrew trying to swim around while it was Matthews turn!! Thank you, Raeann, for capturing such beautiful "behind the scenes" photos... Love ya!

Peeling Paint??

I have to soak Ethan's diapers about once a month to keep the ammonia at bay... since I have a front-loading washer, I have to do it in the bathtub. Whew... the strong smell just about peels the paint! Glad they don't stink all the time!!

Sometimes...

Sometimes, Ethan does really well with a regular cup, other times... not so much!

Ethan's Class

Jeremy & I had "Extended Care" at church this morning in Ethan's class. Caleb always goes with us to help... he loves it! Anyhoo, Caleb made this "boat" for the kids to play in... aren't they cute!! Ethan was trying to play "Man Overboard."
