Caleb has gotten too cool to hang out with his parents these days!!! He spent the evening down at Dave's house. Beth sent me this picture of the kids attempt at spelling out 2013 on the floor!

Crochet

My sister, Mandy, taught me how to crochet last night. I worked on it during our car ride home today... it will eventually be a scarf. Keyword: eventually!

Jeremy and Dave took the big boys out to shoot guns today. Jeremy said they all did a great job but it makes this momma nervous!!

Christmas at Grandmas!

We traveled to Arkansas last night to spend a few days with my mom for Christmas. This was taken in the middle of our gift exchange. It was the fastest gift exchange in history because Mandy and Michael could only come for an hour because Michael had to go to his dads. :(

House #2 Update

Framing is done and the windows are in! We are loving how this house is turning out!! It is a 4 bedroom plus a bonus, but there is enough room for a 5th bedroom upstairs, so we are going to go ahead and run electrical because the people that buy it may decide to finish it out. :)

"Fat Guy in a Little Coat"

Matthew went up to Matt Jones' house to play today. Tonight, I got a picture text from Beth of her wearing Matthew's ski mask because he left it at her house. Matt Jones had left his coat at our house this morning, so Jeremy put it on so we could send a picture back to her... it was HILARIOUS!!!

Christmas Morning

This is obviously the before picture... the after picture looked like a tornado hit the living room!! The boys were all super excited when they saw what Santa brought them.

Cookies for Santa

Ethan was in charge of putting cookies on the plate for Santa tonight. He had Jeremy and I both laughing like crazy because he licked the first cookie, then took a bite out of the second one!!

Paint Party

Janet had a really fun activity planned for us today!! She bought canvases for all the grandkids and for herself and Wendy and I. Fred brought the propane heater into the garage and we spent the afternoon painting whatever we wanted! Janet had seen a cute idea on Pinterest where all the kids do footprints and then you decorate them to look like snowmen, so that is what she did for her picture. It turned out sooo cute!

Annual PJ Picture

My very first blog post was our annual PJ picture, it's hard to believe I am posting #3!! I'm still amazed that I have kept up with taking a picture every day for 2 years!!!

Freezing Family Fun in Downtown Nashville

We came down to Mt Juliet today so we could celebrate Christmas this weekend. Tonight, Janet arranged for us to take the train from Mt Juliet to Downtown Nashville as a treat for the grands. The last train into Nashville was at 5pm and the next train back to Mt Juliet wasn't until 10pm!! We had 5 hours to fill!! We went to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner and ate inside the train car that is inside the restaurant. Then we walked down Second Avenue and checked out a few shops. It was really cold but we all had a wonderful time!

Putting the kids to work!!

The Christmas cards I ordered arrived today and since I am so late getting them out, I enlisted the help of the boys (and Matt Jones). They helped me stuff, tape, and stamp all 220 of them!!! It went so much faster with my little worker bees, I'll never do it alone again!!

Anniversary Gift

Today is our 14th Wedding Anniversary!!! Where in the world has time gone! A few weeks ago, Jeremy asked me why I never wore my triple diamond necklace anymore and I told him because it represented our 3 kids (at the time) and I didn't wear it anymore because we had a 4th. He surprised me by added a 4th diamond to represent Ethan and gave it to me today. :)

School Christmas Parties

The twins both had their class Christmas parties today... at the exact same time!! Ethan and I ran back and forth between their classes so we could attend both (thankfully, their classrooms are across the hall from each other). They both did a Secret Santa gift exchange, here is Matthew with the Spiderman Puzzles he got. Neko, who lives a few doors down from us sits right next to him in class! Cool huh?

Matthew's Punishment

When the twins bring home a bad grade, we ground them from all electronics for 3 days. Matthew is notorious for saying "I'm bored" when he is grounded, so when he said it today, I told him he had to read a book. I think it's going to be part of their punishment from now on!! They need to read more!!

Christmas Card Pictures

The weather was finally nice enough today for us to take some pictures for our Christmas card. My friend, Raeann, takes amazing pictures so I asked if she could do them for us. I love how they turned out!!

Pizza Bet!

The twins friend, Matt Jones, is on a different basketball team this year. His mom, Beth, made a bet with us that when we played each other, the losing team had to buy pizza for the winning team... We won, so Beth bought!! lol! Here's the boys enjoying their pizza!

Seatbelt Covers

Every now and then, I get asked if I can make something that I currently don't offer on my Facebook page. A friend of mine asked if I could make some seat belt covers, I said sure!! I love making new things!

Flynn's Decorating

When the kids woke up this morning, they found that Flynn didn't think we had enough Christmas decorations up!! I guess he thought the office needed more light! Can you see him hanging from the chandelier?

Updated Hardware

We are (very gradually) updating the house we live in for the Jones' so it will be more appealing when it comes time to sell it. They bought new oil-rubbed bronze doorknobs back in July and Jeremy and I are just now getting around to switching them out!!

Last Years Book!!

I FINALLY got around to publishing my Blog book from last year!! It's a paper copy of my blog from 2011. I plan to do one every year as long as I continue doing a picture a day. Hopefully this years book won't take me so long to get to!!

Playing Daddy

This morning, Ethan and I went to a cookie exchange with my MOPS table friends. He enjoyed playing with this little doll and carried it around all morning. He said she needed a diaper change so he got the cloth wipes out of his diaper bag. So cute!!

Sugar High!!

Today we found Flynn getting his sugar fix from drinking syrup straight from the bottle. I'm guessing he had a pretty bad headache after hanging upside down all day!

Copy Cat

Andrew, Matthew and I played Twister together on the Wii tonight. Ethan was so cute... he played right along with us!!

Poker Night

Caleb had a couple friends, Josey and David, spend the night. They love to play poker and love it even more when Jeremy deals for them.

House #2

Framing has begun on our second house in Bentley Meadows!! I'm anxious to see how it turns out. :)

Outdoor Lights

We used to go all out with Christmas lights, but haven't put many up for a few years. This year, Jeremy started out just wanting to do the bushes, then I talked him into putting them on the house, then Caleb mentioned the neighborhood contest and he jumped in his car to run to his office to get more lights! As soon as he heard he could win something, he was all over it! Not many people have lights out, so he thinks he has a pretty good chance of winning.

Stuck in Mashed Potatoes

Ethan had a couple of his cars at the dinner table tonight... next thing I know, this one is driving through his mashed potatoes. Funny Boy!

Car Wreath

While we were all outside working on the Christmas lights, I decided to stick a wreath on Jeremy's truck as a joke because we always tease people that put them on their cars. He noticed it after a while and tried to take it off, but I zip-tied it in 3 places so he'd have to find some scissors. He decided to leave it on there for a day. :)

Duck Dynasty

Jeremy and the boys have really gotten into the show "Duck Dynasty" lately and when they heard that 2 of the people from the show were going to be at Opry Mills today, they HAD TO GO! Only the first 400 people there got tickets to meet them and they were all gone by 8 am. Jeremy and the boys got to see them and at least take some pictures. :)

Flynn is back to his old tricks!

Our Elf, Flynn, came back a few days ago, the first morning, he was sitting in the tree with a note to the kids, and yesterday he was hiding in a house plant, today we found him zip-lining across the living room. The kids really enjoy finding him every morning. :)

Tree Decorating

Jeremy assembled the tree a few days ago, but had a hard time finding the lights in the storage room at his office (aka our attic). He finally came across them today so the boys were able to decorate it tonight. Every once in a while, we would hear glass shattering... Ethan dropped and broke 4 and one fell apart on Caleb. Oh well!

Spec House 1

 We love building and are really excited to be back in action! We plan to do many more after these first 2 and hopefully one for US in the near future. :)

14 Towels!!!

One of my friends decided to give a bunch of towels as Christmas gifts... 14 of them to be exact! I've been working like crazy on them the last few days, I think they all turned out really cute!

So Much for Super Powers

Yoshi strikes AGAIN!! Ethan has only had his Super Hero Pegs for 2 days and Yoshi got a hold of one this morning.. Ugh!!! I wish he would quit chewing on stuff!! He has ruined so much of our stuff!!!! You can see Ethan below the peg getting onto Yoshi (it's so cute!)

SodaStream at Bunko

I was selected as a SodaStream Party Hostess with HouseParty.com. They sent us a free machine and tons of flavors! I tried to host my party the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, but only 1 couple showed up (The Harwells) so I decided to bring it to Bunko to show everyone there and to get a picture. You have to submit a picture of the people at your party on the HouseParty website, the more people, the more likely you will be chosen as a hostess in the future. Gotta love FREE STUFF!

Corley Thanksgiving

We normally get together on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, but moved it to the Sunday after so we could go to Memphis a day earlier so we could come back a day earlier to see the Jones' while they were in town. Fred and Janet met my mom to get Ethan yesterday and I teared up when I finally got to see him today. It was a long quiet week without him around.

Roller Skating

While we were bowling last night, we decided to all go roller skating today!! It was a lot of fun and the boys all want Roller Blades for Christmas now. The Jones' are in town and Carter tagged along with another family, here's Jeremy helping him out. :)

Bowling!

Tonight we went bowling with a couple of our family friends. We had the adults on 1 lane (competing as couples, of course), the teens on another lane, and the kids on the next. Jeremy and I won!! Woot Woot!

Cracker Barrel Thanksgiving

At first, Jeremy wanted to go all out and cook our Thanksgiving meal for us, then I changed his mind because ordering Cracker Barrel would be cheaper and a lot less work. The food was good, but nothing beats Mamaws!

Sick Caleb

Caleb, who is never sick, hasn't been feeling very good the last couple of days so Jeremy took him to the doctor today, while I packed for our trip to Arkansas for Thanksgiving. Turns out he has strep, so we had to cancel our trip.. didn't want my grandmother or little cousins to catch it. :( We will have to figure out a way to get Ethan back now.

Cool Dude

Ethan went home with my mom after the birthday party. She sent me this picture and said that he had on his sunglasses all day, but refused to wear them in the picture (surprise, surprise).

Male model

Today, I made a skirt for a friend's daughter that is the same age as the twins. I used Andrew as my model to get it the right size. He decided since he was in a skirt that he needed to do a hula dance. :)

Cumberland Caverns

Today, we went to Cumberland Caverns for Michael's (my nephew) birthday party. My sister and her friends drove 5 hours one way to get there and drove right back when it was over (crazy!). We all had a really good time and thought it was neat that in the middle of the cave tour they did a light show that was about Creation. :)

Twin's First Game

It is really difficult to get both boys in the picture at the same time when they are both moving fast- usually in different directions. You can see Matthew in the center of the group of boys and Andrew's right arm behind the player with the ball.

Caleb's First Baskeball Game

Tonight was Caleb's first basketball game of the season. Even though he is one of the oldest on the team, he is still one of the shortest. I thought this picture was neat because everyone around him is blurry, but he is pretty clear. :)

Super Hero Pegs

I saw these cute little Super Hero Pegs on Pinterest and decided to make sets for Ethan and Carter. They were really time consuming but I think they turned out really cute!

Thanksgiving Dinner at HBC

Tonight our church had it's annual Thanksgiving dinner. Since Jeremy is a deacon he was a waiter, I had to get a shot of him in action. :)

New Haircut for Andrew

Andrew got a "wild hair" tonight and decided to let Jeremy cut off his long locks. He decided to go super short so it would be a drastic change (the kid likes attention). He looks so different now!

Ticket to Ride

I bought Jeremy this board game for his birthday and we finally had a chance to play it tonight. It is super fun!! You get "tickets" that tell you 2 cities that you have to build your railroad between and you get points along the way. We really like it!
