Leap Day!

Today is Leap Day, I wish it were more celebrated because I think it's neat that it only come around every 4 years... the kids should get out of school or something!! Anyhoo, since it was a plain old ordinary day, there wasn't anything exciting to take a picture of so I snapped this pic during GAs. The girls are making bracelets out of yarn and coke tabs. They really enjoyed it!

Clarksville Zoo!!!

Did you all know that Clarksville has a FREE Zoo??  

Most people say its a pet store named "Pet Palace," but to me, it's free entertainment! Tonight, I took the boys and we spent over an hour just looking at and holding different animals. Here's Matthew holding some type of lizard, they also held snakes, rabbits, & guinea pigs. I ended up buying a couple of things for Yoshi when we left, I would have felt bad because the chick that works there spent so much time helping my kids with the animals.

GOLF team!

Caleb has been trying out for the golf team at his school for the past couple of weeks, today he found out that he made the team!! I wasn't there to get his picture on the course, so I took a picture of his score card instead. :) So proud of him!!!

Stickers!

While cleaning out my craft room, I found Caleb's old sticker case still full of stickers! I gave it to him and he instantly passed it down to Ethan. :)

Pull-Up Dance Party

Melissa and I were both selected to host "House Parties" for Pull-ups... here's some of the kids doing the "potty dance" with a DVD that came in our party packs. They all loved it!

Craft Room is Packed!!

I've been working on getting my craft room organized/packed for the past week and I'm finally done! My mom teases me that have enough stuff to be a Hobby Lobby store, but that's just what happens when you collect stuff for years!

Backsplash

The Winn's kitchen is coming together!! Bryan Sutton (close friend and one of our subs) installed the backsplash today... now we just need the appliances installed and the floors finished. :)

Varmit Dog!!

 

Yoshi had a heyday destroying one of Ethan's Elmo balloons today! I'm SOOOO ready for him to be out of the "puppy stage."

Ethan's 2 Year Pictures

I took Ethan to have his 2 year old pictures taken today. Christie took some amazing pictures (of course) but I thought this one was really neat. You should have seen us trying to coax Ethan to walk down the road, I was running circles around him  trying to get him to walk away from us... I'm sure I am just out of the picture.

Office Storage??

We are moving into a smaller house than we have now in a couple of weeks, so we are going to store some of our stuff in the storage room at Jeremy's office. We cleaned out the attic and hauled it over today... sure is nice to have a "storage unit" that we don't have to pay for (in a sense).

Playdoh Date!

Ethan got an Elmo Playdoh set from the Harwell's for his birthday... he loves it!! The Jones' came over for game night tonight, so I set up his little table next to us so he and Ashlyn could play. :)

"Elmo Birthday"

Ethan has been talking about his "Elmo Birthday" all week! He pointed at all the stuff I was making and said it constantly! He had a wonderful time at his party, the kids colored elmo pictures, played "pin the nose on Elmo," demolished the pinata, made ice cream sundaes (Thanks Fred!!), ate the cake I slaved over, and Ethan opened his gifts. When Jeremy and I were discussing where to have his party, he jokingly said his office and I thought it was a great idea and it sure turned out to be. :)

Elmo Cake!

I didn't start decorating Ethan's cake until midnight tonight, I had no idea it would take 5 hours!!! Thank goodness my mom was here to help! I've never made or used fondant before so it took a while to get "good" at it. I think it turned out pretty cute for my first attempt! Hopefully my future cakes will go faster! :)

Girl Scout Cookie Booth

Both Keira and Paige are in Girl Scouts and they have to work cookie booths for their troops. Melissa kept texting me how cold and bored she was, so we stopped by to give them some business. :)

Happy 2nd Birthday, Ethan!

I can't believe my baby is already 2!!! The Jones family came over after church for cupcakes tonight, so we could have a little celebration on Ethan's actual birthday. :)

Party Decorations

Today, I worked on decorations for Ethan's party this Saturday. I went ahead and put them up for him to enjoy them. He's been walking around saying "Elmo Birthday" non-stop.

On another note, it's Valentines Day! Jeremy brought home KFC for dinner (I love KFC!!) and a movie for us to watch as a family. (Seven Days in Utopia)

4 Boys

The kids are usually scattered around the house, you hardly ever catch all 4 of them together, but I did tonight, so I had to snap a picture. They are looking at something on Caleb's iPad together. Sweet Moment even if an electronic is involved. :)

Werewolf Grandma

We  "skyped" with my mom today. She got to playing with the special effects and found this one... it gradually changes you into a werewolf. Ethan was sitting here with us and it totally freaked him out every time she did it. It was pretty funny!

Kitchen Cabinets

We are getting to the end of the Winn's house!! Cabinets are being installed now... here's a sneak peek at the kitchen in progress. It's going to look so good!

Elmo towel

Tonight, I made Ethan this Elmo hooded towel for his birthday, I think he is going to love it!

What a mess!!

Today, I went downstairs for a few minutes, leaving Ethan and Yoshi upstairs. I came back to the huge mess! I use beans, split peas, and corn layered in a hurricane for fall decorations, Ethan found the bags of them in the cabinet and went to town!! This picture doesn't do it justice.... it was everywhere!

New Golf Club

We went to the mall tonight so Jeremy could buy Caleb a new driver. They had this full size stand of his favorite golfer (Rickie Fowler), so he posed for a picture with him.

Hoops Celebration!

Tonight, we went to the Hilldale Hoops Celebration. Here's the twins team hanging out before the show got started. Thanks for the picture, Karen!

Silly Boy

Ethan wanted to wear a pair of Caleb's socks tonight, then added the sandals that are 4 sizes too big. He had them on for hours! This is his way of "showing his muscles."

Holding Up the Counter

Tonight, we had a few families over for the Super Bowl game. No one cared to watch the game so we played Settlers of Catan. I walked into the kitchen after we were done playing and saw these 3 "holding up the counter" all standing alike. (Jeremy, Bryan Sutton, & Paul Krueckeburg)

Fresh Flowers!

I'm not a fan of fresh flowers, they are a waste of money in my opinion. Publix opened here this week and their ad had a coupon for free flowers with a purchase, so Jeremy got some. I'm okay with FREE flowers. :)

Couples Bunko Winners

Tonight we played Couples Bunko at the Bowers house  with the Jones, Harwell, Brooks, Richards & Bowers. We always have a really good time. Tonight the big winners were Brian & Melissa!

I'm Stuck!!

Tonight we went to the FLC for the boys to participate in the first round of the "shootout." Ethan climbed into the bottom of the goal stand... I wish he had figured it out at the beginning of the season instead of the end, it would have kept him in 1 place!

Today, I made the invitations for Ethan's Birthday Party. Bet you'd never guess that we are using an Elmo theme. :)
