Another Ethan Mess

2 year olds are notorious for getting into stuff and Ethan is doing his best to be notorious! One of the challenges during the Amazing Race was to find safety pins in a bowl of rice while blindfolded. It doesn't sound too hard, but trust me, it ain't easy. Anyhoo, I had the bowls on my desk so I could get the pins out today and he came in and took the bowl that still had a lid on it. I was thinking, there's no way he can get it open... I was WRONG! He was only out of my sight for a minute... it's a good thing I checked on him when I did because this could have been MUCH WORSE. 

Monkey See, Monkey Do

Ethan has become a MAJOR copycat lately. He wants to do everything the big boys do as well as repeats everything everyone says like a parrot. He is at such a cute age!! Today, I found these 3 out on the trampoline laying in a row playing on ipods/iphone.

Amazing Race Party!!!

Whew!! This party took a lot more planning that I bargained for, but it was a BLAST!! We had 10 teams of 2 that traveled to 10 stops all around the neighborhood reading clues and completing challenges. They even had to catch a golf cart like catching a bus or a plane on the reality show. The winning team was Caleb (12) and Carter Jones (4). They were so cute running around together.

Happy 9th Birthday to the Twins!!!

I can't believe my tiny little babies are 9 YEARS OLD!!! Time goes way too fast!!! We are having their party tomorrow but we decided to go ahead and give them their gifts from us tonight since it is their actual birthday. They were super excited when they opened these iPod Touches!! They can do all kinds of things with them including texting, video chatting, the internet, video games, and music. And no more fighting over who gets to play with my phone on trips! :)

Sewing Mistake!

It took me several hours to embroider this blanket today... Melissa came over just after the lady I was doing it for left to take it to a shower as her gift. I showed Melissa this picture so she could see what took so long and the first thing she said was, this date hasn't happened yet. I can't believe I put the wrong date on it!!!! I've never goofed up so bad! I immediately called the lady that ordered it to tell her she would have to bring it back sometime for me to fix it... it's going to take some work to get a 1 in the right place!!

New (to us) Swing set!

I posted a week or 2 ago about us looking for a swing set for Ethan. We couldn't find one that we liked around the price that we wanted to spend. I decide to post on facebook that we were looking to buy a swing set and asked if anyone had one that they would like to sell. One of our friends from church, responded by saying, you can have ours, just bring a trailer and get it!! We weren't sure the condition it would be in because their son is 14 and they got it secondhand when they got it for him. But it is in fantastic shape!!! Jeremy pressured washed it and the wood looks brand-new again and we added some swings, a steering wheel, and binoculars. It's PERFECT! We got it with Ethan in mind, but all 4 boys (and Jeremy) have been playing on it like crazy!!!

Playing in the TOILET!!

 Ethan got a runny nose tonight while Jeremy and I were watching tv. I sent him to my bathroom to get some tissue. He was gone for a while, but I figured he just stopped to watch his tv show that was on in our bedroom. He eventually peaked at us around the corner, then disappeared again. He had the "I'm doing something that I'm not suppose to" look on his face so I got up to check things out and found him like this. He had obviously unrolled the toilet paper into the toilet, then got it out and put the wet wad on the floor before getting into the pack of panty liners that were on the toilet tank. He was unwrapping them, throwing the wrapper in the trash, then dunking them in the toilet. He didn't leave any in the toilet... he was stuffing them in the toilet paper/tissue holder! EWWW!!

1st Birthday Celebration for the Twins

The twins birthday is this Friday and Jeremy's dad will be out of town and unable to come to their party so they came up tonight to celebrate with them. :)

Hardworker- Matthew

Matthew is the hard worker in the family... he always ask what he can do to help Jeremy and I and doesn't whine and complain like the other 2 big boys. Now if I can just get the kid to not wear his socks outside!!!

Flower beds are DONE!

Today, Jeremy and I planted and mulched all the front flower beds.... a huge improvement!!! I wish I had taken a before picture!!

5th Child- Matt Jones

Sometimes I feel like Matt Jones is another one of my kids! He is great friends with Andrew and Matthew and they play together just about every day. He is spending the night tonight and Jeremy made them ice cream cones covered in sprinkles.

Tuckered out Giants

Another win for the Giants.  I thought taking a picture from this angle would be cool... too bad my iphone camera takes bad pictures...they were in the middle of an after game meeting with the coach.

Tonight, I walked into the office and found Yoshi hanging out on the bottom shelf. Crazy Dog!

Working out with Daddy

Ethan does my workout DVD with me, but since I am in the middle of working out, I can't stop to take a picture. Jeremy decided to try it out tonight and Ethan had to show him how it is done. He is so stinkin' cute!

Dinner Dancing

These 2 have always been full of surprises. Tonight, in the middle of dinner, they both jumped up on the seats and started dancing. I love my boys! :)

Erica's Baby Shower

Today I went to a baby shower for my friend, Erica York. Here she is displaying the things I made for her. I love making personalized gifts for people. :)

New Spin on Cornhole

Tonight, we went to the Harwells to grill out and play cornhole. Matthew and Paxton were playing and Nicole and I decided to try something new. We sat in chairs in front of the boards and the boys had to throw to us, then we turned and threw them on the board. We had to catch them and couldn't leave our chairs in order to toss them on the board. Here is Nicole catching one of the many wild ones... it was a lot of fun!

Fight on Aisle 3!!

Tonight we went to Toys R Us to look at the swing sets. We decided that is what we wanted to give Ethan for his birthday because he is obsessed with swings and slides (we were waiting until after we moved so we wouldn't have to move it!) While we were standing there looking at their choices (none of which we bought). These 3 turkeys decided to fight with these giant "q-tips." :)

Lunch Lady... er, Man!

Courageous Bible Study

Jeremy just finished teaching the Courageous Bible Study at church. Tonight, they all signed a "Resolution" in front of their families just like in the movie. :)

First Baseball Game

Tonight was the twins first baseball game of the season and they played against 2 of their good friends (Patton Samuels and Preston Brooks). Aren't they cute!

Swinging with Ashlyn & Gianna

Melissa's family is visiting from Michigan, so Ethan and I went down to say hello today. He had a blast playing in the backyard with them. :)

Every Easter we take pictures on this bench at Jeremy's parents house. The boys all look so handsome. :)

Cleaning Out the Flower Beds

The people that lived here before us had been neglecting the flowerbeds. They were overgrown and full of weeds, so we decided to rip a lot of it out and start over. You better believe we put the boys to work! Here they are collecting rocks... we want to do mulch. :)

House full of Kids!

Tonight we had the Jones and Harwell families over for dinner and games. It's crazy that we have 12 kids between us! There's 6 boys and 6 girls!

Doggie Day Spa

Today, I took Yoshi to the Doggie Day Spa to be groomed. He looks so different!! They said he did great.

Sand & Water

Ethan got this Sand & Water Table for his birthday from his Nana and Granddad. Until today, I've only had water in it... I cleaned it up and put water on the water side and sand on the sand side, then let him have at it. It took about 3 seconds for him to fill the water side up with sand!!!

Golf Team

Caleb had a golf match today, so I asked Jeremy to take his picture with some of his teammates. His game is gradually improving... I love that he is involved in a school sport that he enjoys so much.

Neighborhood Friends

We love living in this neighborhood, the kids have a ton of kids to play with and head outside every day as soon as they finish their homework. Today, the twins played in the sprinkler with Matt Jones, Nico Clark, and Christian Arnett. I'm sure they are looking forward to playing together all day-every day this summer. :)

Winn's House Picture

The Winn's moved in last week and we finally had a chance to put the shutters on. It is finished except for pressuring washing the patio and staining the deck stairs. I think it turned out so pretty!
