First Boy/Girl Party!!

Caleb went to his friends birthday party tonight while we spent the evening at the Lopps house. We had no idea there was going to be girls there until the birthday boy's mom posted pictures on facebook. Caleb says he is not interested in girls yet, but I have a feeling it won't be long!

Air-soft War

Caleb goes to the FLC to hang out with his friends after school everyday until Jeremy gets off work. Today, they planned an Air-soft War. Since he was super excited about it, I asked Jeremy to take the picture of the day for me when he dropped him off.

Crockpot Wednesdays

With both soccer and church on Wednesday nights, we have decided to make Wednesday a crockpot day so we can eat as soon as we walk in the door. This week we made Taco soup... yummy!

The first of many!!

The big sewing order I was expected has started to trinkle in. A teacher at Caleb's school came across my business page and decided she wanted me to make her some Richview Middle School shirts. She showed a fellow teacher, who showed another teacher, next thing I know, they are taking a school wide order!! She said to expect around 100 shirts!! Boy am I going to be busy! The one on the top (with hats) takes 2 hours to sew out!! I hope there's not too many people that want that one!

Little Helper

Today, I cleaned out the kids toy closet.. it was a disaster! I pulled all the bins out so I could go through them and get toys in their correct bin. While I was sorting, Ethan decided to do some cleaning of his own... he climbed up in the closet and threw out a bunch of toys that were already organized! Thanks for the extra work, buddy!

DeLyla's Birthday

Today we went to DeLyla's 3rd birthday party. Her and Ethan are good buddies and love playing together.

Consignment Time

Consignment Sales are coming up so I spent the night getting outgrown clothes onto hangers while Jeremy was at his fantasy football draft. I've never been so early getting them ready, but I am expecting a big sewing order next week, so I wanted to get it done and out of the way.

Tiny Blankets

Today I made these tiny blankets. One for Julia and one for Nichole's baby, Asher. We are both putting together keepsake boxes and I thought little blankets would be a great addition.

Caleb's Open House

Caleb, Ethan, and I went to Caleb's open house at school tonight. Here he is showing us his locker. Nice and tidy... he must be my child. :)

New Refrigerator Art

Ethan has brought home plenty of art projects from church, but it is usually just scribbles on a page. Tonight, he came home with this beautiful rainbow! I'm sure his teachers helped a lot, but he enjoyed showing it to me and telling me the colors. :)

Pancakes for Supper!

Jeremy is famous for his pancakes (thanks to his Papaw's recipe), he whipped us up some for dinner tonight. Yum!! Ethan liked them so much, he ate more than Jeremy!

New Game!!!!

We haven't gotten a new board game in a while, so I bought us a new one a few days ago. It is called Ding and the kids really like it. We have played it during dinner every night so far. I think its a keeper. :)

ETC Day

Jeremy, Caleb, and I took our turn in the 2 year old class during worship this morning. I love watching Ethan play with his friends. :)

Soccer Scrimmage

This morning, we drove up to Hopkinsville, KY for Matthew to play in a "friendly scrimmage." He had 2 games and his team lost both times. :( It was a great practice game for the "young" team. :)

Another Puppy??

I took this picture a couple of weeks ago and decided I needed to include it in the blog. The little turkey, er puppy, put his snack bowl next to Yoshi's food dish and occasionally would crawl in for a bite. This kid cracks me up!

Football Begins!

Today was Andrew and Matthew's second flag football practice. They love playing!

Calvin's Hats

Nichole told me about a website called "Calvin's Hats." It is an organization that gives tiny infant hats to women who have lost their babies during pregnancy. The hat I requested came in the mail today. I am going to add it to the keepsake box I am putting together for Julia. The card behind the hat is the size of a business card. The hat is so tiny.

My new friend

This is a picture of my new friend, Nichole. Nichole and I met because we were in a expecting in March group on facebook called March Madness. Just before I left the group the night of my miscarriage, Nichole posted that she was having some bleeding and heading to the ER. I waited to leave the group until I heard what she found out... she lost her baby too! :( She was due the day before me. This past week we have helped each other through our nightmares. It is nice to have someone to talk to that is going through the same thing. We chatted for a while tonight and found that we have a lot more in common than finding out that we lost our babies hours apart. I am so thankful that God sent Nichole my way, she has been such a blessing to me.

Saying Goodbye to Julia

We decided to name the baby, Julia Lynn. Julia because she was with us the entire month of July and Lynn because it was my middle name. People asked if we knew that the baby was a girl but we don't. We chose the give her a girl's name because so many people told me "this is your girl" while I was pregnant. We decided to bury her in the pot under the tree that Cliff and Lisa gave us and then transport both her and the tree to the ground after we move. We placed her in a small bottle and put the bottle inside a small box that I bought last week. You can see a little of the box in the picture. We took turns sprinkling dirt in the pot and then Caleb read Ecc. 11:5. It was a very sad evening, but I think it helps with closer. I'm glad that we decided to put her in the pot until we move... I like that she is still nearby.

Peek-a-boo Elmo

Ethan loves using his Elmo towel! He was snuggled up with Jeremy after his bath tonight and covered his face with the hood when he saw me coming with a camera. I wanted to see his face, so I waited until he peeked out to snap it. :)

Caleb's Shopping Day

As excited as Caleb was this morning, you'd think he was going to Disney World today! Instead it was because Jeremy was taking him to Opry Mills to shop for new shoes. They were gone until after 8:00 tonight!! Jeremy said they hadn't planned to stay gone all day but Caleb was really enjoying it. Ethan tagged along and also had a great time!

Brooks House

We are gradually trying to get back to our normal routine so the Brooks came over tonight to discuss their house.

Beautiful Tree

My friend, Lisa, who lives in Hawaii (thanks to the Army), texted me this morning to see if I got the package they sent. When I said no, she said, "you live on Glenraven, right? It says it was delivered yesterday morning at 10:00." I told her we moved down the street from there in March. So the kids and I jumped in the car to check the porch at our old house and there was a tall package for us. :) We came home and opened it and found this beautiful Dogwood Tree! Cliff and Lisa sent it to us as a memorial for the baby. It includes a tag that has Ecclesiastes 11:5 and the date we lost the baby (August 6, 2012). It is such a special gift and I am so grateful to them for sending it.

First Day of School!

I have always been excited for the kids to go back to school... until this year. I've really enjoyed them being home this summer. Caleb is starting 8th grade and the twins are starting 4th. Where in the world have the years gone?!?

Another Sad Day

The Jones' came over tonight for the very last time. They are moving to Virginia in the morning. I forgot to snap their picture before they left, so they sent this when they got back to their hotel room. They are our closest friends and we are going to miss them so much!! :(

Very Sad Day

Today was one of the hardest days our family has ever faced. I was spotting over the weekend, so Jeremy and I went to the doctor to check on the baby this afternoon. Dr. Anderson did an ultrasound and found that the baby no longer had a heartbeat. We are heartbroken! :( Even though this baby was an unexpected surprise, we were all very excited to be adding another child to our family. We scheduled a D & C for Wednesday while we were at the doctor, but I miscarried in the driveway as soon as we got home from the doctor. This is a picture of what I posted on facebook tonight. We have already been shown so much love and support from our friends. I couldn't imagine going through this alone. :(

First Bike Ride

I bought this bike seat for Ethan at last Fall's consignment sale... Jeremy finally got around to putting it on his bike today. Ethan was a little unsure at first, but had a huge smile on his face within minutes. The 3 of them biked around the neighborhood for a while!

Caleb gets beat up by a 2 year old!

We went to the Harwells tonight to hang out. Just before we left, Caleb started teasing Ethan by taken a ball away from where he wanted it. Ethan unleashed his fury with screaming and hitting. It was so funny to watch and all Caleb could do was laugh. :)

The Marsalis Family

Our friends, Jesse and Cherilynne, moved away from here a few years ago. First they went to VA and now they are in NC. We rented their house while we were building ours. They came in town today to check on their house because their tenants just moved out. We really enjoyed catching up with them tonight. I stole this picture from her facebook page... she really needs a new one, they've had 2 more kids since this was taken!! Love them!

SOCCER!!

Matthew has been begging us to let him play soccer again (he hasn't played since he was 4). Matt Jones (the twins triplet) plays on a travel team and his mom asked if Matthew would be interested in joining their team. He jumped on it and had his first practice today.

Dog Bath Boy

Andrew has taken on the task of giving the dog a bath whenever he needs one. He does a great job and it keeps Jeremy or me from having to do it. :)
