Mamaw's Birthday Party

Today is my Mamaw's 86th Birthday. We had a big party for her at Pizza Hut. Most of her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids were there including her great great grandson that is on the way. :) I usually only see my aunts, uncles, and cousins at Thanksgiving, so it was nice to see everyone. Ethan loves his Mamaw.

Party on Wheels

Today, the kids and I drove to Arkansas to visit with my mom for the week. The kids made just about every single semi honk for us. After every honk, they all cheered... we were a party on wheels. :) It made the drive a lot more bearable for all of us.

New Porch!

So... instead of moving the old table and chairs back onto the porch, we decided to go shopping for new furniture so we could make use of the space. :) We are amazed that we have more furniture out there AND more floor space... how does that work?? Everything we got was at Big Lots on "End of the Season" Clearance. It only took 5 or 6 stores all over middle TN to find all the pieces.  We love it and the awesome deal we got. :)

Life Group Water Play Social

We decided to have our monthly social at the church farm so we could have a water play social. We had a big tarp slip-n-slide on a little hill, our big blow-up water slide, pools for the little ones and waterguns. Everyone had a blast!

End of Basketball Season Party

Today, we went to a teammates house for a pool party. I had planned to take a picture of all the boys in the pool, but it started raining before I got around to taking it. One of the player's moms put this photo collage together as a gift to Jeremy for coaching, so this is the picture you get for today.

Porch Cleaning

Our screened in porch gets filthy fast!!! Bugs love to come here to die!! It seems like I am constantly cleaning it. Today, I asked Jeremy if he would help me take everything off and pressure wash it... it made a huge difference! We've left the screen door open since we moved here so I wouldn't have to open 2 doors to let Yoshi out, but we've decided to keep it closed to see if it will help to keep it clean.

Photo Booth Fun

Jeremy, Ethan, and I went to Kelsey Kemmer and Jared Wolfe's wedding tonight. Kelsey was our very first babysitter for our kids!! It was a beautiful wedding and Kelsey was a gorgeous bride. There was some silly dress up stuff at the reception and Ethan couldn't wait to get over to it to try stuff on. Once we got over there we found that it was for a photo booth. What a hoot!!

CHS Golf

Today was Caleb's first match as a CHS Wildcat!! He birdied his very first hole and ended with one of the best scores he has ever had. The coach is out of town and asked Jeremy to fill in for him (Jeremy is the Golf Booster President... like he needed something else on his plate, lol). We all know how much Jeremy enjoys coaching! He LOVED today!

The Creeper

Last summer, Fred and Janet went on a bike trail in VA known as "The Creeper." They wanted to take the twins on a trip so they decided to go back with them this week. Janet texted me and said that Matthew loves it and Andrew whines, I responded with "that sounds about right." I can't wait for them to get back to tell me all about it. In other news, tonight Janet called to let us know that Andrew has head lice!!!! Ewwww!! I guess I need to wash all of his and Matthew's bedding before they get home.

"Need my glasses"

Ethan decided he wanted to "read" his little pocket Bible today. He said, "I need my glasses," and disappeared into our bedroom. Next thing I know, he is sitting on the ottoman, wearing Jeremy's glasses and "reading." He was so cute. :)

Pedicures :)

Did you know that most Nail Salon's are closed on Sundays?? Jeremy and I drove around for a while looking for one that was open today. I get pedicures when I need them, Jeremy gets one every 5-6 years! I felt sorry for the girl working on his funky feet! lol. After we were done, Jeremy went on and on about how relaxing it was... maybe that means he will go more often now. :)

Feels like Family

Nicole's parents took Addi and Paxton to St. Louis and asked them to house sit. We thought it would be the perfect opportunity to hang out. Tonight, Nicole's sisters and brother-in-law came over for dinner and games. Jeremy and I felt like we were part of the family, especially when Chad (BIL) asked Jeremy where something was in the kitchen cabinets. lol.

Our First Egg!!!

We took the kids down to Fred and Janets today to spend the weekend while we head to Jackson for an adult getaway with the Harwells. Andrew checked on the chickens and found the very first egg!!! He said that his chicken, Speckles, was sitting on it, so he thinks she is the one that laid it. I love that the boys were there for the first egg and that Andrew was the one to find it. :)

Last Summer Basketball Game

At the end of the Hilldale Hoops season, Jeremy decided that he wanted to put together a travel basketball team with Matthew. Tonight was their last Summer Schedule game so we took a couple of group pictures- a serious one and a funny one. I chose this one because it was snapped just before Jeremy smashed a cupcake in Colton's face... too funny. 2 of the team members are out of town this week. I hate that we didn't get a picture of all of them together.

Lot 85 is SOLD!!

We sold our first spec house over the weekend and Hal put the SOLD sign in the yard today... 1 down, 1 to go. :)

Chairs are finally done!!!

When Jeremy made our new table (back when it was cold), I had no idea it would take us this long to get to the chairs!! Saturday afternoon we went out looking for some second hand chairs and hit the jackpot at our first stop, Miss Lucille's. We bought 5  and then used 2 of the ones we had and painted them each a different color. I finished the last chair today,  I love how they turned out!! We are going to wait until after we move to add the 8th chair... it would be too hard to get around the table now.

Tumbling Camp

Andrew & Matthew are attending a Tumbling Camp this week. When I went in to pick them up today, this is what they were working on. I guess they had to use Matt Jones as their girl so they wouldn't hurt a real girl while they practiced. LOL.

Caleb in Atlanta

Caleb left on a youth group trip to Atlanta last night. Today, they went to a Braves game and tomorrow they are going to 6 Flags!! One of the leaders posted this picture on facebook today. Thanks Christi!

Wasp Sting :(

Ethan has been stung by a wasp the last 2 times we have been to Fred and Janet's... last night it was right under his nose. Today, his face is swollen and red, but he says it doesn't hurt. :)

Siamese Twins

We went to Fred & Janet's for a family game night. We played the game "Quelf." Quelf only has one rule... "obey the cards." John drew a card that said he had to be Siamese twins with the person on his right until his next turn. You should have heard these 2 telling us to hurry up, their arms were getting tired. lol.

Twin Bonding

Matthew came out to the balcony and said, Andrew and I are bonding. I had to go upstairs to catch a glimpse of them getting along! They ended up playing cards together for hours. :)

Dr. Ethan

Yoshi started scratching at his ears after his bath Friday night and Saturday we noticed they were very red and sore. I took him to the vet Monday and found that he has a double ear infection. The vet also found a baby tooth that they should have pulled when he was neutered so he said to bring him in yesterday so he could put him to sleep to pull the tooth and to clean out his ears really good. The picture is of Ethan giving him his medicine after he gave him a checkup.

Clothes Model

Today is my niece and FIL's birthday. We are going to see them this weekend and today I started working on an outfit for Jillian. I got the top done and had Andrew put it on for me. I love how it turned out and I appreciate Andrew being a good sport. :)

Indoor Picnic with Caillou

Ethan's favorite show is Caillou, he ask to watch it every morning. Today, Caillou was having an indoor picnic on the show, so Ethan wanted to have one as well. :)

Toy Organizing

Everyone knows that I am an organization freak and I make the kids help me with their toys when they are too out of control. We did some major work today, even pulled everything out of the attic storage in the bonus room. It was a majorly messy process, but the end result was awesome. :)

Circus er... Opry Mills

We decided to go to Opry Mills today and it was a circus!! It was packed and keeping up with our 8 kids was definitely a 4 man job! The kids begged to ride the carousel after we ate dinner.

Fun Time with Friends!

The Harwells came in for a visit this weekend so the Syner's came over to play games. I wanted to get a picture of everyone, but this was the best I could do. Cliff was the only one who noticed that I was taking a picture :)

Happy 4th of July!

We had some leftover fireworks from last year, so Jeremy, the big boys and a couple of their friends shot some off this afternoon. They were trying to do 6 at the same time in this picture.

Naked Day

When Ethan was potty training, he spent many days naked because he didn't like underwear. Today was a flashback because I put clothes on him repeatedly, but he took them off as soon as I turned around. Here he is playing with playdoh... such a cute little bootie. :)

Jeremy learned how to embroider :)

Jeremy came in with some gray hand towels today and said he wanted to use them when he worked out. He then said, do you know where I'm going with this? I was thinking, he wants me to wash a load of towels, nope! He wanted to embroider them with the Prime Fitness logo and different workout quotes like "Sweat is fat crying." I told him I would be happy to help him do them and put him to work. :)

Car Washing!

Last night, Jeremy told the twins to wash and vacuum out my truck today. As soon as they finished their breakfast, they were out the door to do it. :) A thunderstorm was on it's way in so they weren't able to do all of the vacuuming, but they did a great job with what they got finished.
