Ethan's Preschool Halloween Party

Today I volunteered to help with the Halloween Party at Ethan's school. I loved watching him interact with his friends... he had a big time playing all the games.

Jack-O-Lanterns

Here's the Jack-O-Lanterns that we did the other night all lit up!! Didn't the kids do a great job?!?!?! Caleb, Andrew, and Matthew did theirs without any help, Mandy did Michaels, and I did Ethans.

Jeremy had a few things to work on at the house we are building today, so the kids and I stopped by to see him in action. :)

Tiny Football Player

Jeremy put together a flag football team for a regional competition in Cincinnati in a few weeks. He took Ethan to practice with him today and let him out on the field. He thought he was something playing with the big kids. :)

Pumpkin Carving

My sister, Mandy, her boyfriend, Arron, and my nephew Michael came up to visit last night. We let the kids carve pumpkins and they had a blast! I've really enjoyed them coming to visit, I don't get to see them as often as I would like.

11 Pointer!!!

Jeremy took Caleb hunting this morning and he said it couldn't have been more awesome! After they had been in the stand for a couple of hours, this deer came up and gave Caleb a perfect shot! It has 11 points which is bigger than any deer Jeremy has ever killed. You better believe he is out to beat Caleb now! They took it to be processed and plan to have it mounted. I don't know how I feel about a deer being in Caleb's "Cardinals" room but I guess I'll get used to it!

Halloween Skate Night

Andrew, Matthew, and Matt went to the skating ring for Halloween night. These 3 are always together and I love that the twins share a best friend. :)

Sunglasses Shopping

Caleb, Ethan, and I went to Kohls tonight to get Caleb some new khaki pants and I decided to look at the sunglasses because the ones I have have been hurting my head. While I am trying them on, I look over and see these 2 goobers.... they are so funny together.

Caleb's car obsession!

Caleb is constantly on the lookout for cars!!! He can't wait to get one! He noticed this Dodge Viper on a car lot and has talked nonstop about it. His dad told him it probably cost around $20,000. Tonight after church, I swung in the lot so he could see the price tag.... it's $55,000!! He's dream of owning it is GONE! lol

Ebaying

I've had a box full of stuff that I have planned to sell on eBay for a while and I finally got around to listing it all. I have 121 listings!!! It feels good to purge on stuff that I don't want! :)

Basketball Draft

Jeremy drafted the twins basketball team tonight. He picked up a few of their friends and some other players that we don't know. He is confident that they will have a winning season. :)

Matthew and his medals

I don't think Matthew would call it a successful trip if he didn't come home with a medal or two. :) He won second place overall in the archery and obstacle course competitions.

RA Camporee

Jeremy, his dad, and the twins are at the RA Camporee. It is pretty cold, so they are happy to be in a cabin instead of a tent!

Panama City Beach! Lucky Kid!!

Caleb went on the Fall Youth Retreat with our church this week... to Panama City Beach!!! He came back today, so I took this picture off his phone. Its him with his friends, Josey, Mason, and Grayson as well as Leah photo bombing at The Backporch restaurant.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's Ethan!!

Jeremy and I were talking on our bed tonight when Ethan came in and decided it was play time. He started by jumping on the pillows, then jumping on Jeremy. Jeremy grabbed him and flew him up and down to the floor. Ethan thought it was a hoot and didn't want to stop! 

Indoor "Fort Dodgeball'

The triplets (Andrew, Matthew, and Matt) decided to play "Fort Dodgeball" in their room today. I'm okay with it until something gets broken! They were lucky today. :)

Gabby's Cat

Gabby Jones (Beth's 16 year old daughter) is staying with us this week because her mom is out of town. She found a stray cat at work (Sonic) and brought it home with her. She was afraid it would run away so she kept it in her car the first day she was here (crazy, I know). Today, I had to meet with some of our homeowners so I asked if she would mind watching the kids so I didn't have to drag them with me... she sent me this picture of them in the car with the cat.

Little Gamer

We played a game called the Amazing Labyrinth at dinner tonight. I used the yellow peg, so Ethan insisted that he was on my team. I let him do all the playing for us (with my help) and he did a great job!! He was funny because he had to crawl up onto the table to reach the board, so he ended up just sitting on the table for dinner. :)

Illinois Hunting Trip

Jeremy and Caleb went on their annual hunting trip to Illinois this weekend. Unfortunately they didn't see anything but a few doe, so Caleb didn't get a deer like he had hoped. However, they had a good time together as father and son. :)

RA Practice Day

Jeremy and the twins are going to the RA Camp-o-ree next weekend and today there was a practice day for the boys to work on the skills they will need for the competitions next weekend. Since Jeremy is gone, they went with Cliff and his boys. In this picture they are eating MREs. They thought they were pretty cool. :)

Why can't yard sales be in the afternoon?

I went yard sale shopping for the first time last year and LOVED it! I swear I would go every weekend if they weren't in the MORNING!! There's a neighborhood wide sale here this weekend, so I got Jeremy and Nicole and Cliff and Lisa (and all the kids) to go with me. We all found some neat stuff!! I even got a sewing machine for $30! I've been wanting a backup since mine has been in the shop so much lately. :( Jeremy and Caleb left for Illinois for the youth hunt this morning so they missed the deal shopping. :)

Harwell Visit!

The Harwells are here visiting for a couple of days... aren't the girls getting big??? Ethan is 14 months older than them, but they look like they could be triplets in this picture. :)

Caleb's board game

Caleb had to make a board game for an English class project... Hello?!?! Board games are right up my alley! We used an old Trivial Pursuit game, painted the board and attached new pictures on all of the spaces. Caleb made up 50 questions from the book that he had to read and we made cards with them, then an answer sheet and game instructions. He also had to decorate a box so we used a gift box and my Cricut to cut out the words and ?'s. It was a VERY time consuming project, but I liked it more than some of the other projects he has had to do. :)

Puzzle Time!

The twins are both grounded from electronics because of bad grades, we has made them have to find other things to do for fun. Tonight, they got out puzzles, which I love to do and I'm glad they enjoy them too. I think I will ground them more often because puzzles are so much better than video games. :)

New Laptop for Kelley!!

My laptop has been giving me problems for the past year and I finally got around to getting a new one (Happy Birthday to me!) I found a great deal on this one on Groupon... it was 56% off!! It has Windows 8 and a touch screen that I am going to have to get used to, but I think I will like it. :)

The game of LIFE

Our schedule has been so busy that we haven't had a chance to have a family game night in a while! Tonight we played LIFE and Caleb beat us bad!!! In the end, he had over 5 MILLION dollars while the rest of us had around 5 million if we put all our money together!

Warrior Dash!

Today Jeremy competed in the Warrior Dash. It's a 5K that takes you through 12 obstacles and lots of mud! He was pretty nervous about doing it because he had never done anything like it before but he ended up doing REALLY well!! There were over 3700 participants and he came in 59th place overall!! He said he would have been even faster had he not have to wait on people to get on the monkey bars. Sharing Ms Beth's Milkshake

Beth's daughter Gabby works at Sonic so she swung by the baseball fields to give Beth a milkshake. She grabbed 2 straws so we could share it, but Ethan assumed that the two straws were for him and Beth to be able to drink it at the same time.. too funny!

Matthew's homework

Matthew had so much homework today, that he literally worked on it from the time he got home to the time he went to bed!!! It's a good thing we didn't have church or baseball tonight, he would have never finished!

Taco Bell

We went to Taco Bell with the Suttons and Syners after church tonight... I love having friends that want to hang out at a moments notice. :)

Thankful for Nana and Grand dad

Jeremy went to Illinois today to set up Caleb's tree stand for his youth hunt next weekend. His parents asked about coming up so his dad could play golf with Caleb and his mom could hang out with the other 3. It was great for me because I was able to run a few errands and get my hair done KID FREE! I love that they are retired. ;)
