My new friend

This is a picture of my new friend, Nichole. Nichole and I met because we were in a expecting in March group on facebook called March Madness. Just before I left the group the night of my miscarriage, Nichole posted that she was having some bleeding and heading to the ER. I waited to leave the group until I heard what she found out... she lost her baby too! :( She was due the day before me. This past week we have helped each other through our nightmares. It is nice to have someone to talk to that is going through the same thing. We chatted for a while tonight and found that we have a lot more in common than finding out that we lost our babies hours apart. I am so thankful that God sent Nichole my way, she has been such a blessing to me.

Saying Goodbye to Julia

We decided to name the baby, Julia Lynn. Julia because she was with us the entire month of July and Lynn because it was my middle name. People asked if we knew that the baby was a girl but we don't. We chose the give her a girl's name because so many people told me "this is your girl" while I was pregnant. We decided to bury her in the pot under the tree that Cliff and Lisa gave us and then transport both her and the tree to the ground after we move. We placed her in a small bottle and put the bottle inside a small box that I bought last week. You can see a little of the box in the picture. We took turns sprinkling dirt in the pot and then Caleb read Ecc. 11:5. It was a very sad evening, but I think it helps with closer. I'm glad that we decided to put her in the pot until we move... I like that she is still nearby.

Peek-a-boo Elmo

Ethan loves using his Elmo towel! He was snuggled up with Jeremy after his bath tonight and covered his face with the hood when he saw me coming with a camera. I wanted to see his face, so I waited until he peeked out to snap it. :)

Caleb's Shopping Day

As excited as Caleb was this morning, you'd think he was going to Disney World today! Instead it was because Jeremy was taking him to Opry Mills to shop for new shoes. They were gone until after 8:00 tonight!! Jeremy said they hadn't planned to stay gone all day but Caleb was really enjoying it. Ethan tagged along and also had a great time!

Brooks House

We are gradually trying to get back to our normal routine so the Brooks came over tonight to discuss their house.

Beautiful Tree

My friend, Lisa, who lives in Hawaii (thanks to the Army), texted me this morning to see if I got the package they sent. When I said no, she said, "you live on Glenraven, right? It says it was delivered yesterday morning at 10:00." I told her we moved down the street from there in March. So the kids and I jumped in the car to check the porch at our old house and there was a tall package for us. :) We came home and opened it and found this beautiful Dogwood Tree! Cliff and Lisa sent it to us as a memorial for the baby. It includes a tag that has Ecclesiastes 11:5 and the date we lost the baby (August 6, 2012). It is such a special gift and I am so grateful to them for sending it.

First Day of School!

I have always been excited for the kids to go back to school... until this year. I've really enjoyed them being home this summer. Caleb is starting 8th grade and the twins are starting 4th. Where in the world have the years gone?!?
