New Years Eve Social

We held our New Years Eve social at the FLC because our class is too big to fit in someone's house. This picture is of our annual Dirty Santa game. It is always a ton's a fun!

Blackhorse

Today is Brian and Melissa's 14th anniversary so we went to the Blackhorse with them and the Winn's to celebrate. :)

Surprise for me!!

The Jones Family went up to Michigan and Wisconsin to spend Christmas with their families. Melissa texted me that they were thinking about coming through Clarksville for a few days on their way back to Virginia. She finally said that they weren't coming because they were ready to get home and that their dog sitters couldn't take care of their dogs any longer. I was disappointed but hoped that she was really coming. We got home from my mom's around 7:30 and got unpacked pretty quickly. I wanted to take down the Christmas decorations and Jeremy said, lets wait till tomorrow and I said, I'm ready now and got to work. While we were putting the last of it in the garage, we heard a car pull up in our driveway. Low and Behold, it was the Jones!!! Everybody knew the Jones' were coming but me!! Melissa dropped some cheese dip on the floor and was getting cleaned up when I snapped this picture to show my mom that she was there... my mom already knew too!!

Final Christmas Celebration

We celebrated Christmas with my side of the family today. It was great to have everyone together. Ethan is never too far from my Mamaw... he is crazy about her! I love that my kids get to know some of their great grandparents, mine were all gone before I was born.

The McClain Family

These are our friends, Justin and Rachel McClain and their kids. They moved to Missouri back in the summer and we miss them a bunch! They came through Clarksville today and stopped by to say hello before we hit the road to my moms. It was so good to see them!! They hope to move back to Ft Campbell as soon as they can!

Punk and Tamara came to visit!

I am so glad that I have a relationship with my dad again!! He sent me an email a few weeks ago to see when he and Tamara could come up to see us for Christmas. They got here yesterday afternoon. We've really enjoyed them being here! A trip to Clarksville is not complete to him without a trip to the Catfish House, so that is where we went to dinner tonight.

Santa was here!

The main toy that Ethan has talked about wanting for Christmas was the "Big Hug" Elmo!! If anyone asked him what he wanted, that is what he would tell them. He lit up when he saw it today! The other boys were super excited with what they got too. Caleb got a .22 handgun and can't wait to try it out! See, I need a wider angle lens... I couldn't get all 4 of them in 1 picture!!

Christmas Eve

We always open gifts under the tree on Christmas Eve. Ethan was beyond excited when he opened this playdoh set. He has been watching youtube video's of it for months!! The boy loves playdoh!

Squirrel Hunters

The twins got BB Guns and Ethan got a pretend shotgun from Fred and Janet for Christmas. Caleb and Ethan decided to go squirrel hunting in the backyard with them. Aren't they cute! No squirrels today though.

Frozen

After church today, we all went to see the movie "Frozen." It was a really cute movie and everyone seemed to enjoy it. I loved looking down the row at our family. :)

Christmas at Nana and Granddads

We are in Mt. Juliet for the weekend celebrating Christmas with Jeremy's side of the family. We spend most of our time together playing games because we love games!! This picture is from opening gifts this morning. I need a wider angle lens so I can fit everyone in the picture!

Crazy Flynn!

This morning, Ethan opened his door to a tape barricade that Flynn put up! He talked about it all day!! Jeremy and I's 15th Anniversary is today!!! It's hard to believe we have been married for 15 years because it sure doesn't feel that long. I love him more and more each day and love the life we have together. :)

Putting my friends to work!!

Lisa and her kids came over to hang out while Jeremy and Cliff worked Pennies from Heaven tonight. I have a ton of work to catch up on so her and Gabby asked if they could help me. :)

Pennies from Heaven

Tonight, Jeremy and I volunteered at "Pennies from Heaven." It's a store that our church sets up for needy families to get Christmas gifts for their children for free. I worked the checkout and Jeremy was an encourager.

Gabby!

We have found out what it is like to have a teenage daughter the last several days... Gabby has been staying with us because her mom is out of town and she has been having problems at her dads house. :(

Chad is the BIG 4-0!!

Tonight we went to the Winn's house for Chad's 40th birthday party!!! I don't see how my friends are turning 40!! 40 used to be OLD!!

Dave and Busters

We met the Harwell's at Dave and Buster's in Opry Mills to celebrate Paxton's birthday today. Here are the boys playing a motorcycle game.

Poor Flynn

Our "Elf on the Shelf," Flynn, has been with us for the past week or so and has been up to his old tricks again. I guess Ethan's little characters got tired of him messing up stuff around the house and tied him up with tape!

My Postal Workers!

Our Christmas cards are here so you know what that means!! Time to put the boys to work! I send out 220 cards and it is so nice having help! Matthew and Ethan maned the printer, Caleb took care of the return address stamp and Andrew did the stuffing. :)

Gingerbread Village

Instead of one big Gingerbread house, I bought a 4 pack "village" so each boy could decorate their own house. They were tiny but they all did a good job with their creativity. They didn't last long enough for a picture.... they ATE them!

Teddy Bears!!!

A friend/customer of mine asked me if I could make 2 teddy bears out of her husbands old uniforms. I said, "I've never made one, but I'm sure I could." She then changed it to "make as many as you can with the fabric." I probably could have gotten 10 or 12 out of it, but after doing these 5, I was DONE! I think they turned out super cute but they take forever!!!

Snow Globe Shirt

I made this cool shirt for a friend today! I put clear vinyl on top of the globe part and filled it with white beads... I think it turned out really neat!! 

In other news... Caleb SHAVED for the first time today! I really wanted it to be my "picture of the day," but he refused to let me in the bathroom because he didn't want it on my blog. :( My baby boy is growing up way too fast!!

Ice Storm

The forecast predicted an Ice Storm and compared it to the one we had back in 1994 (which was awful!). It turned out not to be too bad.

So many kids!!

We went to the Syners to hang out tonight. Our friends the Suttons were there too. Between our 3 families we have 11 kids!! I tried to get them all in 1 picture, but Caleb is missing. :(

Making Ornaments

I decided to have my GA girls make salt dough ornaments in our class this week. Andrew and Matthew somehow sneaked out of RAs and joined us!! I had to bring the ornaments home to bake and will take them back next week for the girls to paint. I don't want Andrew and Matthew skipping RAs again, so we decorated the ones we made tonight.

2 School Projects

Caleb has 2 school projects due tomorrow, so we finished them up tonight. The big one was a group project, the group did it together, Caleb and I just cut out the words and put it on the board. The smaller one was a really neat project. Caleb has to read a book every 9 weeks, the report for it this time was to fill a box with 35 items from the book. It really made him pay attention to detail while he read. It was fun finding stuff around the house that represented different things AND was small enough to fit in the box.

Christmas Card

I'm so proud of myself!! I ordered the Christmas cards today!!! The last few years I have waiting till the last minute to get our picture done and cards ordered. I feel ahead of the game! My friend, Lisa, took the picture for us. We are in front of their barn. :)

New TV!!!

We finally decided to join the 21st century and got a flat screen tv on Black Friday. Don't laugh... we still had a huge tube television! We got a good deal on this one and it's a Smart TV. We hooked it up tonight, I'm looking forward to learning how "smart" it really is. :)

Putting Up the Tree

We store all our Christmas decorations at Jeremy's office and he brings them home a few boxes at a time. Today, he brought home the tree... no lights and no ornaments. We didn't have anything on our schedule so we decided to put it up and add the lights and ornaments later. Everyone pitched in... even little Ethan. :)

Jeremy and Papaw

We left my mom's this morning and drove straight the Mt. Juliet to celebrate Thanksgiving with Jeremy's side of the family. Papaw and Betty even came! We don't get to see them as often as we would like so I knew my picture today had to be of Jeremy and his Papaw. :)

Happy Birthday, Michael!!

My nephew, Michael, turned 7 yesterday so we celebrated it with him today. Hard to believe he is already 7!! Time goes way too fast!!

Telestrations

My Mamaw, Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Jimmy,and cousin Jamie all came over to hang out at my mom's tonight and of course, I had them play a game!! We played Telestrations and everyone thought it was a hoot!

Thanksgiving Dinner

I have spent Thanksgiving at my Mamaw's house my entire life.. until last year. Last year, Caleb had strep so we had to stay home. Now that there is a lot more people in the family we have a hard time squeezing into Mamaws house, so it is now held at my moms. We set tables up in the garage so we could all eat together. Here's to new traditions.

Quick visit from the Jones family

The Jones family came to town to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Winns. We are leaving town in the morning so we were able to spend some time with them today. I can't wait for them to move back!!!

The Renaissance Center

Another Bunko House Party

Dog Pile

This morning, Jeremy and I had extended care in Ethan's class. Andrew wanted to come help and had a blast playing with the kids. The kids had even more fun making a dog pile on top of him. :)

New Game!!

Last week, Melissa texted me saying that they wanted to get a new board game, did I have one that I recommended. I told her that I had my eye on the game "7 Wonders." I even had it in my shopping cart on Amazon just waiting for an excuse to buy it. Fast forward to the week.... Melissa told me that she ordered me a birthday present and that it should be delivered today. It was coming from Amazon and wasn't gift wrapped. Can you guess what my present was?!?!?! Sneaky Melissa!! It took a bit to understand how to play, we ended up watching a game tutorial on youtube, but we all really like it. :)

Messy Room

Ethan went upstairs to play in his room today, I love listening to him over the baby monitor, you'd think he had a friend over, He has such a great imagination! Anyway, I went up to check on him and found what had been keeping him busy... a floor full of toys! I stood on his bed to try to get as much as I could in a picture, but there is more!!

My boys!

So... the pictures Raeann took yesterday turned out kinda blurry because it was getting dark when we took them. She was busy today so I asked Lisa if she could take some for us. We went to their house and used their barn as a backdrop... love!! I'll post our Christmas card once I get them ordered, until then, you get a picture of the boys. :)

My Love

We went to Raeann's house today so she could take some family pictures for us. Jeremy and I were goofing off and she snapped this picture. I love it!!

Owl Quilt

I started this owl quilt for Ethan many months ago, but haven't had time to finish it because my sewing orders keep me so busy. My embroidery machine was in the shop this week, so I decided to try out the sewing machine that I got at a yard sale out and finish the quilt!! I guess I will make a pillow sham, throw pillow, and curtains the next time my machine breaks down.

My crazy friend, Rachel

This is my friend, Rachel McClain, she is one of the funniest people I know... you never know what's going to come out of her mouth! lol. They moved to MO back in the summer but plan to come back to Ft. Campbell in 3 years (Her husband, Justin, is in the army). Anyhoo... she ordered a monogrammed hoodie from me that she got in the mail today. She sent this picture to me to show how much she likes it. :)

Matthew's iPod

Matthew lost his iPod when it fell out of his pocket in the woods while they went hunting on Monday. They searched for it then, then we went back the next day to search again and never found it. I decided to ask if anyone we knew had a metal detector on Facebook last night and found out that one of our neighbor's has one so Jeremy went over to borrow it and headed back to search for it again. It worked like a charm!! I was worried that it would be ruined because it has rained a few time this week, but when I took it apart there wasn't any water in it at all! While it was apart, I replaced his broken screen and now it is as good as new! Yay!!! So glad we don't have to replace it!

Airsoft Warriors

The twins went to their friend, Cliffy's,  birthday party tonight. His mom, Lisa, sent me this picture just before they went outside to have an Airsoft War. They had a blast!

Matt's Birthday Party

A few days ago, I got to thinking that we never gave the twins best friend, Matt, a birthday present (his birthday is in June) because he was in Florida for his birthday and never had a party. Jeremy and I decided to throw him a surprise party since he is here just about as much as he is at home. It was pretty funny.

Crazy Boys

When Caleb got home from school today, he had the crazy idea to put on one of Jeremy's sweatshirts like this. He greeted the twins at the front door when they came in from school and they thought it was hysterical so they wanted to do it too. It was really funny watching them try to get around without falling. We tried to get Ethan to do it too, but he refused. 

Caleb got a Letter!

Tonight, I took Caleb to his school golf banquet at the Country Club (Jeremy couldn't go with us because he had to present the annual budget to the church- he is the chair of the Finance Committee).  We were late getting there because I couldn't find my keys!!! We searched for about 20 minutes, then decided to go steal Beth's car. She gave us the code to her house, so we went in, found the keys and headed to the driveway. Her car was wedged in between the basketball goal, the house, and another car! It took us many forward/reverse moves to get it out... which made us take even longer to get the the Banquet! Anyhoo, we got there about 10 minutes late and really didn't miss anything. :) Here's Caleb holding his LETTER and the certificate that goes with it. :)

Oh yeah... I found my keys less than 5 minutes AFTER we got home!!

Peek-a-boo Doggie Door

I have wished that we had a doggie door since we got Yoshi 2 years ago. But with being in rental houses there was never a way to put one in. :( I got to thinking the other day that I bet they sell them for windows so I got on Amazon to see if I could find one... AND I DID!!! Woot Woot!!! We've had it a little over a week and Yoshi has finally gotten the hang of it and IT IS GREAT!!!!
