After Pictures

Jeremy wasn't very happy with the pictures that the photographer took so he asked me to bring my camera to the gym today so I could take more. I think you can see every muscle in his back in this one!!! Here's a link to the gym website where you can see his before and after pictures...

Goodwill Finds!!

I have several friends who are always telling me about all the good deals they find at the Goodwill. Today, Ethan and I went to see what we could find and we got some deals!!!! He got 3 shirts, the one on the left is Kelly's Kids and retails for around $30, the middle one is a boutique brand that sells for $52, and the 3rd one is Osh Gosh. I got 2 corduroy jackets and an Adidas jacket. Want to know how much each piece cost???? 99 CENTS!!!! I'm officially a thrift store shopper and will be going back for more awesome deals!!!

Also notice that Ethan is STILL messing up our pillows EVERY DAY!!! 

Ethan's Party Invitations

Today, I made Ethan's Birthday Party Invitations, he is crazy about "Jake and the Neverland Pirates." I can't believe he is going to be 3 in a couple of weeks!! :(

Memories of Kindergarten

I walked into my craft room this afternoon and found Andrew and Matthew doing their homework at the little table. This is where they did their homework every day when they were in kindergarten... back then, they fit!! Not so much anymore. Ethan wasn't too happy since it's HIS TABLE now!

Table's DONE!!!

Jeremy did a wonderful job on our new table!!! It's exactly what I have been wanting... I LOVE it!!! Now I just have to get him to paint the chairs. :)

Teaching Him Young

Caleb taught Ethan how to shoot a blow gun today, they were so cute running around playing with each other. This is them trying to hit the ceiling.

Hanging with Hayden

School was canceled today because the weather was suppose to be bad (false alarm!! it wasn't too bad). Anyhoo, Chad came over and got Andrew and Matthew this morning so they could hang out with Hayden on their day off. :)

Lot 85 Progress

The brick, stone, and siding are done!! Loving how this house is turning out!!

Goodbye Camper :(

We decided to sell our camper because we were only able to use it 2 times in the past year... we loved having it but it's not worth paying the monthly storage fee if we aren't ever able to use it. We plan to get another one down the road. This is Jeremy leaving with it to take it to it's new owners. :(

Elmo & Cookie Monster Shirts

Indoor Soccer

During the winter months, Matthew's soccer team practices and plays tournaments indoors. Jeremy took this picture of him and he's teammates/friends (Matt Jones and RJ Robinson) at practice tonight.

Freaky Light!!

A few days ago, I noticed that the lights in the den ceiling fan would not come on when you flipped the switch. I asked Jeremy to figure it out today... he checked the breakers and tried new bulbs but neither fix worked. He then pulled the chain on the fan (have to have a ladder to reach it) and the light came on!!! We have no idea how the chain was pulled to the off position!! After it came on, I threw him a dust rag so he could dust the fan blades while he had the ladder out. :)

Got Your Nose!!

Fred and Janet came up to watch the twins basketball game today.  I didn't tell Ethan that they were coming, so he was super surprised to suddenly see Fred standing behind him. Here they are playing "Got Your Nose."

Friends :)

Our friends, Bryan & Karen Sutton and their 4 kids, came over to hang out tonight. Their daughter, Kenzey, and Ethan are the same age. Ethan was not happy about sharing his toys at the beginning of the evening, but they eventually warmed up to each other and had a great time playing together. Karen found them behind the chair on the little couch and snapped this picture. I couldn't tell you the last time I had a picture of Ethan smiling at the camera!!

Underwear Progress!

I try to get Ethan to put on underwear every single day (I'm praying that he will eventually say YES!) Today, we got 1 step closer... he wore the dinosaur boxer briefs that Nana got him OVER his diaper. I kept telling him how much I liked his underwear and he repeatedly corrected me and said they were PANTS!

Jeremy's Photo Shoot

Jacob (the trainer) asked Jeremy if he would be willing to do some before and after pictures for his website. A photographer came to the gym today to snap a few "afters."  I'll have to post a link to the website once it is added. :)

Matthew's First...

Matthew sits next to me at the dinner table and tonight while we were eating, I noticed that he has his very first ZIT!!! Time to buy him some Clean and Clear!

Big Boy Diapers

When I came out of the bathroom after my shower tonight, I was greeted by Matthew wearing one of Ethan's cloth diapers... next thing I know, Andrew has one on too!!

Rain, Rain, Go Away!!!

It has been raining non-stop today!!! This is a picture of the creek near our house, you usually can't see it from the road!

Baby Shower for Jacob and Rachel

Jeremy's trainer, Jacob, and his wife, Rachel, are expecting a baby very soon so Diana Samuels put together a surprise baby shower for them at the gym. Jeremy said he wanted to give them a diaper cake, so I told him I would make one and then decided to add some baby stuff with the gym's logo on it.  Jeremy said they were blown away!

Kitchen Color and Battleship

Melissa wanted me to send her a picture of the new kitchen color so I snapped this picture to send to her, then decided I would also use it for the "picture of the day." Fred and Janet came up to visit today so they could go to the kids basketball games and so Fred could take Caleb hunting in the morning. Janet brought Ethan a bunch of underwear hoping he would consider wearing them if they came from her because she knew he wouldn't wear any of the ones we had got him. She also got the boys a Battleship game that uses candy pieces. That's what she is playing with Matthew in the picture... he loves Battleship!

Kitchen Makeover Update

The kitchen makeover is in full swing!! Jeremy's working on the table every chance he gets and today I made new valances and we painted the walls the color that I picked out on Pinterest. Woot Woot!! Here's the valance over the kitchen sink. We didn't start painting until 10:30pm and it only took us an hour and a half to do the actual painting. Jeremy went to bed and I worked on getting the room back together until 3am! Yeah, I am almost always up until then, but I am usually working on things that I can easily wind down from. I was wide awake until after 5!!

Ethan's "brother"

Ethan is crazy about our dog, Yoshi! And Yoshi couldn't be more excited to see Ethan when he wakes up in the morning.  We really don't understand why because Ethan tortures him all day long! Yoshi is great because he just takes it and has never gotten mad. Lately, Ethan has been calling Yoshi his brother. It's quite funny. They truly are best friends. :)

Pillows on the floor

EVERY day for the last week or so, Ethan has taken all the pillows off our bed, sometimes they are on my side, sometimes on the end, sometimes on Jeremy's side, and sometimes ALL over the room! I don't know why he insist on doing it, but it's getting OLD!!

Potty Training Boot Camp, Day 1

I have been telling Ethan for the past week that we were going to start potty training today. He understood and would tell me that's what we were doing when I asked him, but when he woke up today and I said, it's time to potty train, he was NOT on board! I took off his diaper and tried to get him to wear training pants and he refused, so I let him run around commando. (He cried for over an hour asking for a diaper). He wet his pants twice, but it didn't bother him at all! I finally decided to try a different approach and let him run around bottomless. It worked and he peed in the potty twice! If only it was appropriate to go without pants, he would be set!!

Pinterest Table

I really haven't cared for our tall kitchen table and chairs since we got them so when I saw a DIY farmhouse table on Pinterest a few weeks ago I asked Jeremy if he could make it. He bought all the wood for it yesterday and it only cost $115!! Not bad for a 7 foot table, huh?? He spent most of today in the garage putting it together and said he was really enjoying it. I was happy to hear that because I will have more projects for him when the table is done. :)

Ethan's Clubhouse

We bought a table and chair set on Craigslist yesterday. The table is for my sewing room and the chairs are for the new kitchen table Jeremy is going to build. Ethan quickly claimed the corner under the table as his clubhouse and used the door from my sewing cabinet as the door into it. He hung out in there all day!

Blooming in January??

A couple of weeks ago, we were expecting the temperature to drop below freezing for the first time so we brought our outdoor plants inside... including Julia's dogwood tree. We were very surprised to see it bloom this time of year and thought it was neat to have a gentle reminder of the baby we lost.

Paint Color

I've been wanting to paint a few rooms in the house we are renting starting with the kitchen!! Today, I found this picture on Pinterest and I LOVE the color of the wall... now I just have to convince Jeremy and Melissa to let me do it in the kitchen. :)

Christmas Cards

Here's a picture of all the Christmas cards we received this year... we get less and less every year. I hate that so many people have quit sending them. :(

Mad Scientist!

My mom got Matthew a science experiment kit for Christmas. He has been begging to try it out and we finally had a chance today. The experiments we did were pretty neat and the boys actually learned something!!
